Good info. D.E.F. is a fairly new gov, mandate forced on us, so the truck stop storage tanks are new, and most are above ground. I hauled a helium trailer all over the country thru the winters, including Co., Ut. and Canada just mention a few. I heard a couple drivers talking about someone they new that had freeze up issues with the def, but never spoke to anyone that had it happen to them. I was fortunate, never had happen to me. Good luck and safe travels.

Thank you. Thank you, guys. I was going down the list of stuff from Wave and getting them from Amazon. The same printer on (11.15.24) was $136, it's now $95. From your list of what I was to get, I saved close to $350 ++. Thanks. 😀🥰

Just a note, I called Wave to ask them a question and they mentioned that nothing could be above 6" above the bed rails. I told them I was not planning on hauling 5th wheels and they s a id everyone now needs to be able to haul a 5th wheel. So I just signed up with Horizon. Thank you for the videos as they are informative and interesting. Keep up the good work.

Thank you for letting us know your experience with Wave. We wanted to verify that the information you received was accurate so we contacted President Joe from Wave for his feedback. We were told that a fifth wheel hitch is listed as required standard equipment HOWEVER they do sign trucks on without the fifth wheel hitch if they have all the other stuff. Unfortunately, it sounds like someone from Wave miscommunicated - ☹.
Congratulations on your new adventures with Horizon and safe travels out there! Btw -Thank you for your positive feedback - we appreciate it!

My setup is similar in a Ram Megacab. When the back seat folds down, the bottom goes straight down and the seat back lays down on top of it with a hinged cargo ledge in back to become a full flat cargo platform that is full side-to-side width and 40" front to back (I don't have the under bed storage you have...so, no microwave). A twin mattress (same type of foam mattress as you have) is 38" wide and 75" long and I cut off 10" to fit side to side.
My 12v compressor chest fridge (like the one you have) sits on that 2" ledge left of the cargo platform and I move the passenger seat back to wedge it in tight so it is level and doesn't bounce around. I have water and food storage under the fridge, the font passenger seat has my 'patrol bag' for the cab book, transport book, some misc. office supplies, etc., and my small clothes duffel and waterproof boots go in the passenger foot-well. I use a 12v mug and 12v lunch box for heating drinks and food but they take 45 to 60 minutes to get things hot so that just means I have to plan ahead.
I am 5'6" so I can easily sleep fully flat on my back when diagonal across the mattress if I want. I do not have a heater for the cab and have only had to run the truck for heat when it drops below 20F and that is really more to ensure the diesel doesn't gel. I do this by staying in bed and using the remote start since the engine will run for 15 min and shuts itself off. Doing this every 2 to 4 hours depending on temp keeps the gel gremlins away. Growing up in Minnesota & Wisconsin, I actually sleep better when it is cold. I do have a mattress pad, twin sheet set (I use the elastic bands with clips on the ends for sheets to keep the sheets on the shortened mattress) , a good fleece blanket and throw, then a 0 degree heavy sleeping bag with flannel interior and canvas exterior (cozy and toasty). When It is warmer, I usually sleep on top of the sleeping bag with either the blanket or throw depending on temps. I also have a 12v fan clipped to the the passenger seat headrest post so I can run it when I sleep or am just lounging to keep airflow and have white noise. The fridge lid/top acts as my night stand for glasses, watch, book, phone, etc.,.
The one thing I do have is semi-standing room since the Megacab is about 10" longer so when I move & lean the driver seat fully forward (easy to put everything back since my truck has the 2 memory settings controlling seats, pedals, and mirrors at the touch of a button - I have one set for regular driving, the other for towing) there is a really good area (about 16") of full floor to ceiling area where I can get dressed or move around a bit. This also makes it so I get in and out of the sleeping area from the driver side rear door which is a bit easier for my aging carcass!
