This movie was brilliant. It shows the raw realness of what happens when thousands of Americans are displaced by war, how it becomes very real in our own country now not in Syria or Iraq! The war crimes being committed and the swift justice being handled by sovereign citizens! I loved this film and hope it gets awards that it deserves!
It’s “easier” to hear about war crimes committed from afar. I liked this movie a lot too. I hope Kirsten gets a nom. Thanks so much for watching my review 🌺

This movie, 2024 “Civil War” Movie opened… April 12th…. The firing on Fort Sumter, 4:00 AM April 12th, 1861. Loved the film. Surprisingly not political. Not much detail why, when, who but that is not the point. The effects of a Civil War… lack of transport, few cars, little gasoline, no law enforcement, no CHP (Highway patrol) , a lot more refugees I would expect. Big Cities need huge amounts of food and goods to be delivered and with little trucking, massive starvation! The 1st CW, the South had huge problems with food shipments breaking down by 1864… worn out trains and military taking most civilian wagons and horses. The South also had local militia and ruffians take over and was dangerous moving around. The most dangerous part in a war (civil or not) is the beginning and the end… when people are settling scores and filling up the mass graves…. Before peace breaks out!
I think the date of release was very intentional just like the reason it was released in an election year. Thanks for watching my review 🌸

100% similar views to yours in regards Dune 2 vs this one. Dune 2 was a spectacular sci-fi epic space opera hollywood blockbuster that was perfect as a movie. It had it all. But this one is something else. It generates extremely tense vivid emotions. Last time I felt like that in cinema was probably on ''Dunkirk'' or ''Interstellar'' who were also relentless.

I personally thought the movie was horrible. I felt robbed when I left the theater.
First, there isn't much world building you're just plopped into this situation with these characters you don't know much about.
Second, they don't build the characters. They are either very bland or annoying. It kinda made me want to see them get taken out.
Third, it's very far-fetched. The journalist are just really worried about pictures as if that is the main media-type in 2024. The President has a bunker; why wasn't it used? Why was the president waiting to get assisnated at his desk? Why did Texas join sides with California? What are the other factions doing? When has the press ever been inbedded with Tier 1 operators?
My biggest pet peeve was the only scene that I felt any emotions. The Jesse Plemmons scene is a direct knockoff of the Walking deads Neegan scene where he does the exact same thing to an Asain except with a spiked batt.
We never want to have a bad theater experience! I’m hearing furiosa is a great time at the theater, I think I’d be a good watch for you. I’m watching and reviewing it this week! Thanks so much for watching my review and leaving such a through, opinionated and respectful comment 🌺

Sorry to break it to everyone but this movie is 100% political. It's framed in such a way that it appears to not be. Look under the surface and you will point blank see how politicized it really is.
