Ty ❤for the video it was nice to see what it looks like since I probably won’t . That squirrel looked so happy there and the train was remarkably loud ! The shirt 😂😂
Hi Maddie. Smoke 👋🏻 Hope you enjoyed the White's ⛰️👍🏻 Always great to hear from you my friends, stay safe and take care 🙏🏻God Bless 🫶🏻 Appreciate you always! Wish I would have known you were around, would have hiked with you.
Mt Willard was one of my favorite hikes when I visited NH last year! We hiked it on the day Hurricane Lee was moving through the area. Enjoy the rest of your NH trip!
Great to see new content! I'm a short drive from the Adirondacks or the Catskills so yeah, Fall in the northeast is the best. Take care guys and keep having fun!
Gorgeous hike. I have some family in New Hampshire and they go to the White Mountains often. The scenery there is so beautiful. It reminds of your hike to Acadia a while ago and you watched the sunrise. That was quite the hike as well. You scared me walking around some of those cliffs. What was the temp, around 40’s or 50’s? Next time bring gloves or hand warmers. 😉❤
Loved following your hike on the AT. Welcome back to New Hampshire. Check out Evan’s Notch in Maine the next time you are in the area and want an interesting place to escape and relax. You can get there easily from N. Conway or if up in Gorham NH.
You’re in my neck of the woods! I’ve only done Mt Willard once, in the winter when the trail was a smooth snow monorail. Must have been cool for you to look across the road at the AT heading up to Webster!
Leaf peeping is great but the crowds. I did Osceola at peak and it was like a clown car. Not that this is a bad thing. Everybody was happy and friendly. Nature brings out the best in people.
Maddie beautiful scenery and the overlook was breath taking … the colors wonderful. BUT ….what went through your mind of what recall did you reflect on from your 7 months on trail thru hiking the AT???? You mentioned your legs were tired and you were struggling with your breath. When you think back on all those 10 to 18 or even 20 mile days hiking the AT do you reflect on if anything. Please keep posting ❤😊
Gorgeous hike! How did your feet do in sneakers? I hiked a trail like that in the Adirondacks in sneakers, and my feet felt bruised and very tender the next day! I started wearing sturdier hikers out there. The ground is a lot softer in MI! I've been hiking and paddling lots in SE lower MI. The colors are exquisite right now! Last night I paddled a lake and saw an incredible sunset, moon rise, & Venus sighting! Woot! I started making TH-cam SHORTS of my Magic Michigan Moments (of peace & beauty), taken on my outings. I invite you & your viewers to pop over and enjoy a bit of Mitten Magic! Be well! BIG LOVE!
I've hiked in this area in thinner hiking shoes (Altras) and my feet did not enjoy it, but these cushier Hokas were sooo much better. Although to be fair, I only did three miles total the day I filmed this! I'll go check out your Magic Michigan Moments!
@BeerinBeautifulPlaces that's for sure!! We'll hope guys have fun up here and be safe👍👍 Tell smoke he should hike more often with you ,good seeing him out on the trails.
I know that place very well - Crawford Notch, but I do not care very much for the Highland Center - too yuppified. It's an abomination, designed to make $$$ for the Appalachian Money - er, Mountain - Club. Just behind Mt. Willard, to the west, are three 4,000-footers: Mt. Tom, Mt. Field and Mt. Willey. Glad you had a good time and perhaps you may want to come back again and summit a few more 4,000-footers. "How beautifully leaves grow old. How full of light and color are their last days."(John Burroughs). Be well, stay safe. 🥾
Wow what a beautiful area!

That has to be one of the best views in the entire US. Look at all those fall colors. Amazing.
Yeah! It was incredible!

A hike with Maddie and Smoke. Reminds me of the AT hike. The kettle and the shirt made it.
