Just got the road teaching myself 2 handed bowled a 198 highest score ever for me! Only started bowling this summer!
Droppin this unannounced on a Sunday night at 9p like a diss track.
Just shot my first 700 series tonight with a combination of The Road and the Ion Pro. Love the videos Darren. The 2-Handed Series has been fun to watch and I can't wait for the next season!

Picked up the X-Cell last week. First bowling ball outside my starter Rhino. Just started bowling this year, glad to hear it sits well on the tier list. Keep the tier lists up love the two handed journey.
Definitely loving my blackout right now seems to be best for that 2nd or 3rd game mostly 3rd game so far
What surface do you like your attention star at?
Love the 2 handed tier list. That's what I primarily throw.

I have the attention star and I love it my house hooks a LOT and when the lane transitions, this ball is perfect for me. Shot 214 out of the box with it, the ball is absolutely in the nut category.
Thanks for the video. I bowl one-handed, but I was eager to see where you'd place the Summit Ascent and Optimum Idol Pearl (which were released after you shot your last one-handed tier list). I started bowling less than five months ago, and so far my favourite ball is the Attention Star (of the two that I have, the other being a Raw Hammer hybrid). Today, I'm getting an Optimum Idol Pearl drilled.
I've never seen anyone throw the roto grip clone yet I love it and I'm able to bowl 4 games straight with it without any problems. I wish it got more recognition when it came out.

Finally picked up an Attention Star. Wanted that ball since it came out, but considering I had a VEBO and an RST-X2 in my bag, it would have just been redundant. But the RST-X2 finally died out. Got my Attention Star. Had my pro shop guy drill it so it was a little smoother, otherwise it would be too similar to the VEBO. First night of use, I shot 210, then punched out the last 9 strikes of game 2 for a 255. I am in love with it. Ball of the year.

In case Storm watches your vids and reads the comments.....I just had the pepto bis bal drilled specifically for how hard it was hitting for you the last night of league. The ION should definitely be in ball of the year running. I take it everywhere, use it every time. One hander here though. But your list was awesome as always.

My thoughts: The Road is hot trash and I mean HOT until I hit it with 500/2000 skip sand. The ball would either go 75 feet or dead left. When I put 500/2000 it rolled exactly like a DV8 Troublemaker.
Best: Both Idols (Optimum and Optimum pearl), X-Cell, Attention Star
Staple: Ion, Harsh Solid, Marvel (overseas)
Good: The Road, Lightning blackout
Hot Trash: Hustles and Tropicals (The Road with Reacta Gloss)

Why no optimal idol, Vebo, or phase 2?
Was at the lanes today struggling horribly on beat up lanes, and said f it let me try tossing some 2 handed…. And i was able to do whatever I wanted with the movement, i hate to say it but 2 handed is just the better option 😑

What's Darren's league average while bowling two handed? I haven't been keeping up with his channel at all lately and I'm shocked to find out he actually decided to bowl a full season as a two handed bowler! Several years ago he would mess around a bit with two handed and I always left comments saying I could honestly see him up his ceiling a bit more as a two handed bowler compared to his standard release. Darren suffers from the same thing I do as a one handed bowler. Lack of revs! I honestly feel like Darren could end up being a very successful two handed bowler if he decides to go full tilt!

For me the harsh reality pearl is in the 🥜 category. High ball speed player with pretty good revs, so that ball lets me still see that strong shape I’ve been looking for while still maintaining that speed

darren i need some advice.... 1 handed bowler, 185 average, 15mph ball speed, rev rate 300-350, current bag is magic gem, vebo, summit, hyroad,spare ball. im looking for a symmetrical pearl to fit in my arsenal and am wondering what your 3 balls you would recommend for me to take a look at.... As a bowler that just started, which is a good start of a bowling ball. I throw 2 handed and I throw a pitch black but I want another ball. Which will y’all recommend.
As for layouts.. 4x4x4 is my benchmark layout.
I started bowling a year ago and was throwing straight. switched throwing 2 handed and started hooking about a month ago.
My average is up about 25 pins and I’m striking so much more. having a blast 🎳
I saw the ion pro in the bottom of the list in the thumbnail… I got scared because I just thought the ball; this is the first time I’m glad I got click baited 😭

Is the magic gem okay for two-handed?
I have a pretty high rev rate (I think?) of around 450-530.
The ball speed is around 15-16 mph.
Darren how are you? It’s been a while couple questions. What made you switch to two-handed? do you still bowl one-handed and will you make an updated overall tier from all your fair bowling balls from the beginning until now? Also, can you clarify this rule about two years? Are they talking about the volleyball? You’re using for two years or an addition of that does have to be a brand new bowling ball that has been made for the tour, for example you cannot phase 2, because it was made in 2016 even it’s brand new when you bought it? Can you clarify what that means thank you.

Hate my Attention Star...but the layout is basically the opposite of what I should be using so I'm redrilling it and we'll see
