      I mean, yeah... If you enjoying a woman enough one thing bound to lead to another... Life don't come with an instruction manual but we all need SOME type of skill for the journey ahead. I don't get why cooking and cleaning is such a sore subject for women & simps, it's like y'all assume anyone who asks for it or wants this isn't capable of doing it themselves. Maybe they are just attracted to someone who is creative, nurturing and supportive. Sorry to all the females out there that ain't making the cut lmao

      I do believe in in-between but you did not gave us an example of that. With you and your husband there’s no in-between, you are doing all the house chores (which is fine). The fact that he buys you things to eat and cleans the house when you are sick is the bare minimum, you are sick so you can’t cook or clean, he is just doing what is right in this situation.

      I remember saying that when younger after all mom did 90% of the cooking, pop mainly stuck to mainly grilling. Pop lost it set me down and explained very seriously that a real man knows how to cook because a real man knows how to look after himself that includes feeding himself, that's also when My dad made my and my brothers job to cook dinner they both watched and explained everything when needed but after that point they didn't cook all that often. Granted it was nothing fancy mostly hamburger helper or cheap easy casseroles but it definitely laid the foundation that was needed when I moved out (I did get so much better in time and while I will never be a high ranking chef I was a chef for 10 years)

Men that turn into caricatures of themselves should at all times be avoided. I'm all for traditionalism. This is a caricature of traditionalism. Women within more traditional roles still wish to be met with common sensibility and intellectual balance. Don't go for the first guy with a know it all attitude. Find someone with some intellect and humility. There is room for growth there. People like this young man are mostly dead ends. As an independent man, I think other men should also be capable of cooking, for themselves and their loved ones. Preach not wrong. Cooking is an art form that you should be able to do for yourself at the very least at some point. Whoever thinks it’s feminine is goofy af, we all gotta eat
    If you put such distinctive roles on gender, you set expectations, which fuck things up.
    Instead, telling your partner what you’re capable of and keeping in touch with them in the day-to-day will encourage communication regarding who can do what that day based on the circumstances. Encouraging communication, not expectation

But with my partner, there is non of this this role is yours, that role is mine. I take care of him he takes care of me. He's had a bad day, I cook him something nice he'll love to come home to. I've had a rough day, my man's will clean the whole house and have it looking sparkling when i walk in and know i don't got to do nothing. Yes I take care of my husband but he takes care of us too, marriage is a lot of compromise and selflessness not demanding or control. My husband does not act like this guy and I wouldn't be with him if he was, it seems like the young man has an idea in his head of what a traditional relationship is and it's almost like an exaggerated version of the real thing. In between is bargaining. You have to tailor your responsibilities to your income. If both parties are middle class, employed and want that upper class lifestyle, sure, split duties, but if one partner is making north of 400k and pulling 80hr weeks, the task of house upkeep and child rearing are given to the other spouse. It's division of labour. And if you think that task is "beneath" you then enlist a maid, or relatives, get a high paying job yourself or ask the provider to make more money. But that begs the question if you're both earners, who's raising the children? The Nanny? The why are we married? These are adult questions that every couple should have. It's not one size fits all because every family has different needs and expectations.
      In the subset of "alpha male" or high income earners there really is no middle. If earning a paycheck is more important than raising his kids, then make that known early. Those men are looking for family builders not splitting 50/50 on house chores.....his work IS his chore. And people don't get that. Again this example isn't applicable to 95% of men or clowns like this basement dweller because he hasn't earned that bargaining privilege

    • @leanna3625
      @leanna3625 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@LaitoChen I work with kids, so the who's raising the kids argument always falls a little flat to me. But most dual income families don't use a nanny, at worst it's after school daycare for 3 hours till they get off work. It's true that when they're babies, kids do a lot better with one parent staying home, but in my experience that actually starts hurting them when they start going to school full time.
      As for childrearing labor, dad absolutely has to do a large share of the work to get a good relationship with his kid. Bottom line is men pulling 80hr weeks make terrible fathers, it doesn't matter how much money they make. It's not as if a kid is going to rationalize that daddy makes the money, so he shouldn't have to do bath time with him...he just knows dad isn't the one that takes care of him, only mommy does. And his relationship with dad will be more like 'guy who pays our bills'
