Reminds me of a story I heard about Bobby Orr… Legend has it that he would line pucks up and shoot at the net and after hitting the post 10 times in a row, he would hit the net and say, “Damn it!” 😂
I take my back-up stick to shoot 300-400 wristers with a puck that weighs 1.25 lbs ( 20 ozs ). It is time consuming but, the next day with a normal puck my wrist shot is a laser.
I wonder if he uses a stick a couple inches shorter for practicing in shoes rather than skates. For shooting and stick handling practice, I had a shorter stick to keep the relative distance the same.
Notice his shooting style is not taken from a stiff, solid stance, rather feet closer together, chest pointed directly at the goal. This allows shooting off balance to become effective. He let's the flex of the stick's shaft do the work.
People are so stupid... 😐 He didn't miss every shot... The targets dont bend back and are most likely welded on. That clanking sound is him hitting the targets......
when i was a kid my brother and i had a piece of plywood we used to shoot pucks off in our back yard at a fence. we eventually broke the fence and my folks didn't like that but we helped my dad fix it, he was most understanding.
Nightmare for a goalie. He is significantly changing the position of the puck and immediately shooting. Goalies are taught to stay centered on the puck which is incredibly difficult when a shooter is doing that. Goalie would be moving side to side while he’s shooting.
Just wanted to add ontop of that you'll notice in actual games Bedards head is up all the time except for when he's shooting the puck right before he shoots the puck he looks down to shield his eyes and so goalies can't tell where he's planning on shooting.
All the D-men gonna be tryin to sneak over sized shin pads down their socks, lol. Like Craig Ludwig, if y’all remember him. He had the hugest, widest shin guards for blocking pucks that everyone would complain about him. He’s probably the reason for current equipment regulations. Lol.
Ha in the mid 2000s I played in a Las Vegas tournament and a retired Ludwig was on an opposing team. He was still rocking those enormous shinpads. I hope he donated those legends to the HOF
I used to practice with a 1 lb puck that I made from brass so it wouldn't distort and fall out. I had 19 hockey trophies at one point but I couldn't skate for s***. lol

@@bradmettler4566 popcorn in a can?
That’s a beautiful sound!!

Legend says his dad picks up the pucks.
Such a beautiful technique. Goalies have such a hard time reading the shot when you change the angle while shooting. A lot like Auston Matthews
Minus the being a fat crybaby aspect
Which Auston rarely did last season
Auston Mathew’s is so over rated lmao
@@Devilsfan-pd8ovyeah the best goal scorer in the game today is overrated 😂
@@coreyrees840 how is he the best?
Need a shot like that as you get older to still score alot
It still needs a screen in todays NHL. He would be looking to bank it off the boards or go through a guys legs in a game.

Size doesn’t matter as much in todays NHL. Look at Caufeild who is 5’6” on a good day
Once he gets his nhl pay checks he’ll be able to afford the T everyone else is on. His legs already have some decent size. In the quad/hams.
