Dude i just started to GW2 and decided my first 6 character and be doing dungeons soon thanks to you and your simple explanations and fun narrative. You make the game look not complicated and fun for a newbie who just want to casually play 2-3 hours per day at most. Respect!
Careful doing what Teapot did. He had stat selectable ascended armor that had the stats he wanted. He could have saved the mystic forge recipe by just customizing some of the armor.
Finally some fashion wars, cuz the tequatl staff skin could be the only reason why he didnt just pick zojja's staff from the ascended weapon choice box, and the mace from tequatl and stat select that one to minstrel for the guardian, saving 1 set of stat selecting materials.
Nice. I use the hardstuck power quick herald build gear setup and you end up with 99.9% crit self buffed no food or augments and 30% concentration with the setup. Eagle runes would overcap you to 107-110% but do perform better if you can’t keep scholar buff.
you shouldn't play eagle runes since all of the precision is completely unused, get ogre runes which only miss 1% modifier, 125 ferocity and don't have 90% hp requirement
Never use Eagle runes if you are going to overcap by more than 1% - there are other options, like Ogre or even Golemancer if you really have issues with Scholar buff uptime.
@@linkazzatore thanks a lot. I just simmed all three. You do lose 125 ferocity ogre 219.4% crit damage vs scholar 227.7% but that’s also assuming you keep scholar uptime. The raw difference is so low that I think you’re definitely right in that ogre is the way to go. But pure sim still favors scholar. It’s all about that buff uptime. Thank you for pointing out ogre. I’m definitely slotting these in
Snowcrows is meta defined, so it has the most optimised builds, while Hardstuck has definitely much more variety and LI builds as well. I personally use SC for 90% of the builds, and Hardstuck for few offmeta builds, more explanations and guides. Hardstuck guides are great.
Since I never see you using them as hotkeys: F11 opens the options menu and F12 opens logout/character select. Saves on having to press Escape and click the thing.
I need to use this as inspiration to actually use all the gear I keep hoarding. I main ele with full ascended zerk gear from like 6 years ago when staff ele/tempest was top dps for raids. I'm replaying the game and zerk is kinda hard to survive soloing stuff...XD condi weaver is now better dps so im like "aaaaaaah should I commit to a full set of viper?? cele for solo play??" keep in mine my zerk gear is also got like 93 agony resist so if I switch I'd go back to no agony unless I extract and put in new gear. aaaaah I can't committtttt lololol I love how many options for builds there is in gw2, but man sometimes it's like analysis paralysis with making decisions 😂 I think I need legendary armor 😂
There's an agony infusion extractor in one of the vendors in the Fractal lobby. Keep a full DPS ascended set for Fractals, and if you're too squishy for solo open world, get an exotic Celestial armor and weapon set. You don't need to go full ascended for anything apart from Fractals, especially armor which is harder to get. Ascended trinkets are easy to get in LW maps or Laurels though.
go for leggy. i am veteran and never raided. during covid i started and now i have full leggy for every weight and found lovely friends along the way :)

Lets play together 😂
same here

Be honest teapot...did you switch away from your cele firebrand because it got nuked so hard in the last balance patch?

That is exactly what I use. Damage and Buff Duration is like night and day.

"this helm looks really stupid on sylvari." i look over to my other monitor to see my character wearing the same helm cause its awesome
Love this! When is part 2?
That outro shows truly how awful the heavy armor set looks on the Sylvari. Be unhinged, 1 spin on the randomizer button.
i am newbie, i was using snowcrows for builds instead of hardstruck. does it matter much?
They are very similar. SC is a bit more optimized, but HS gives more explanation. I use both.

what about current situation? sc didnt updated for may updates yet, did it changed much about revenant?
Unhinged levels of build diversity.

I know you wanted minstrel for wvw predominately, but wouldn't minstrel be too much toughness for pve content?
It shouldn't be a problem because he's the one who does the mechanic.
I hate the set system in GW with all that limited bag space.

Well, cele catalyst is very strong for solo-stuff. As for Weaver, both power and condi perform super well.
@@chrisron2774, 3 months later, im here to report that I did indeed got myself leggies 🎉 no more analysis paralysis! XD
did josh voice over the intro
Nah it's me lol, we're just both british
I was thinking the same thing you.literally sounded identical in the opening line. 😂
Why didn't he buy runes for the rings, accessories and things. They have slots?
the rings accessories and back piece take Infusions, and are only really needed if you do Fractals on that Character
why minstrel giver and no harrier?
More survivability
Not sure why people are arguing whether stormwind or DR is bigger in chat, but ok.
DR map chat is always like that.
Kek, thumbnail looks exactly like the characters i've decided to gear first.
second
Imagine having to make a build because you actually play the game LUL.
wow, first!
