Love the vids! I used a 900G HB Intensity for Team, then went with Reality (shined)/C4 ordnance for Doubles (C4 was wishy washy), so stayed with Reality for doubles and start of singles, end of game 1 in singles went to the Zen. Finally shot well after a 5 year drought. good luck at Nationals!

Thanks Darren! Went Gem for Team for a game and half and stepped down to my Hustle Wine. For D/S, I had my best luck with an unnamed purple ball from not SPI, lol.
I wish Storm made another ball like the Joyride. It’s in my bag as my spare ball, but in dry conditions is so versatile. I should’ve brought several to keep as replacements for when mine needs replacing

Was just there last week. Averaged 210 for the 9 games. Brought 6 balls with and only used 2. Iq with a fresh 2000 pad for the team and doubles. Then switched to a hywire for singles.
storm mix the black one i use for spares
I use Gem or UC3 on fresh then Nova or helios as step down. Then go to GB4 pearl and if needed phaze 3 which the lanes would have to really break down at that point.
I bowled great with the Helios. Used it for 8 of the 9 games. Averaged 229. Highly recommended.

Hey Darren love watching your vids! I just came home yesterday from bowling nationals bowled last Tuesday and Wednesday and I did pretty well! For team I did 558 for singles I did 568 and doubles a 501 lol! I still had fun and that’s what matters would’ve been super awesome to meet and watch you bowl! I hope you do very well when you do bowl it! ❤️😁🎳

Great breakdown for the Nationals. I'm gonna go with my Zen, Zen Master and 900 Global X. I prefer not to bring more than 3 balls in order to simplify my choices.
More than three balls takes away the fun/vacation part of the trip for me. Air fare/shipping is involved from the east coast for me. That money (and potential equipment damage) can also take away from the fun. Have fun everyone.
Love the idea of putting the balls in different categories of when they will be used and not by how popular they are
Me and my Phaze III are going places. Just starting out, around 5-6 months now, in and around 200. Not yet to the point of having multiple balls for different lane conditions, yet here I am watching Darren just because I enjoy his videos.
How the aych eee double hockey sticks are you 5-6 months into bowling and already hitting 200's???????
@@timmywa Ik, a lot of people tell me that. My dad used to bowl when he was younger and he was in the 200s so I learned a lot from him. Also bowling 4 days a week with school helped me get enough practice in. Current highs are 290, 279, 268

that's some awesome improvement! I'm about three months in and have gone from 80s to 120s going to the center about once a week, 5/6 games a week. My goal is to shoot high 100s to 200 when I hit a year

I use a Nova on the fresh and Dark code for transition I’m interested to see where the new Zen “Soul” will fit in the next month ! Maybe a great ol D-Tang ball review for the win 🤙🏾

Most any of the good symmetrical's. ( Phaze II, IQ Tour) Urethane at the Bowlers Journal only. Done.

Phaze 2 is always great for me. I drill a new one every year pin down for the open championships

Dtang is definitely not team 8 bagger then. I don't have time for league during the weak so I only bowl weekend tourneys. My local alley is wood, but puts heavier oil for tourneys so it starts tight, but the transition turns to burn quick when it happens. Luckily even with my Phase II I can play inside of pretty much everyone and change hand position and increase my speed as the lanes change without need to change balls much, but am really wanting to start travelling more for tournaments so these videos are great as I fill out the bag. Really wanting to bring my Zero Gravity back to life as it used to be great for me, but now moves like a dart unless I am throwing it slow.

I use a Brunswick Mark 10, a black AMF Angle, and a Columbia Yellow Dot with a thumb lift. Oh wait, that was 1982...

Dang! Didn't realize the RST-X1, Rubicon, Clear blue Storm Ball & Roto clear spare was discontinued 😢
Does these change from team to single and doubles, which would you use on the fresh team, burn on team , does this make sense? I used urethane on fresh on both last year but RST-x1 on burn and transition for singles and doubles
All depends on what you see. Typically D/S is longer than Team.
I'm going to bring the black urethane for strikes and the JiDion coconut ball for spares

ive been bowling for a soild like 5 months and i got 2 balls and a high of 234 and average around 170 ish on huse patterns. i bowl 2 handed and ive been thinking about getting a spare ball like the ice or any plastic ball because im not great at throwing straight at my 10 pins cause its very inaccurate but when i throw straight at it like i would throw at any shot with a hook it goes right at it but then my balls hook once it hits the dry areas, should i stick to trying to learn to hit my ten pins while throwing the ball straight with no hook or get a spare ball so my ball doesnt hook?
Get a spare ball...its much easier

Average in league is 185. Bowled 600+ the last 5 weeks with a 708 last week all with the Zen. Great ball!
