I don't understand why google haven't created password for files/documents. Even basic notes on a mac have this feature where you can password protect things. Will this be introduced in the near future?
Google is launching client side encryption this year for google drive. This is another level up from what you are talking about. Not just password protecting but encrypting the information so that only those with the encryption keys (code) can read the information. You can read more about the announcement here. workspaceupdates.googleblog.com/2021/11/google-workspace-client-side-encryption.html?m=1
Are "permanently deleted" files actually permanently deleted? I've heard that eventhough you permanently deleted something from Drive they are not completely deleted but still kept in Google's servers.
An admin can recover files for up to 25 days but after that they are permanently deleted. There is no value in google keeping data you have decided to delete. - Fintan
Your deserve at least million subscribers dude! Way too professional i love it.. Btw how can i download my drive data to usb all of em easily i download it to gallery but somehow files got corrupted need simple solution! Thank you
@@Damsoncloud i don't have pc i have drive onmy mobile so do u have any solution? Mostly of my files are pictures 10000s of pictures and some video how can i download all in short amount of time?
Is it a good idea to manually encrypt your sensitive files with a local tool no backdoors one and then upload it to Google so even if its compromised it can't be decrypted?
Maybe this article below will help? All files uploaded to Drive or created in Docs are encrypted in transit and at rest with AES256 bit encryption. support.google.com/docs/answer/10519333
Thank you so much for clarifying my doubts. I used to log out the account each and everytime I use . I only log in the account when I wanted to see the photos
"Google does not own and Google does not sell that information ". But does Google read it to make a profile of you? Just say "we don't read it". Why don't you say that? Because you scan and read all information...
"Google drive is secure" is a bold and inaccurate statement that comes with a loooooooot of qualifications. You data surely isn't safe from Google. They hold the keys. They can give access to three letter agencies. Also, that says google doesn't own it and google doesn't sell it, it SSSSSSUUUUUURRRREEEELYYY doesn't say google doesn't use it and profit from it.
Thank you mate! You deserve more subscribeers.
Thank you! Glad you like the content :)

@@Damsoncloud it seems as though this feature is only available for organizations rather than just regular users of Google drive products..?

Aw thank you very much! Do you need it on a USB or just on your computer? If it's just on your computer have you tried Google Drive File Stream?
