I think you were on the right track with the food conversation. However, I would suggest utilizing intermittent fasting as a way to cut weight. Going on a 3 day trip, then practice intermittent fasting on a 72 hour schedule. That can save you 6+ pounds, AND you won't need the Nalgene canister(s).
I loved it & may use a couple of my Nalgene for my bear canisters! Enjoyed it & recognized the SAR trip.
:) Thanks Doug!
Thanks for keeping me entertained at work with your satire.
Our pleasure. And thanks, as always, for your encouragement! We really appreciate it!
Love this podcast love from the mountains in Tasmania 👍💪🍻🇦🇺
I reckon the balloon method is pausable 😂
I didn't think it through.. how do you get your gear out? 😅
@@benmcauliffe8650 obviously pop it when you need it lol 😂 less weight then hahaha
Thank you so much! I love Tasmania! Went there a few years back and had a great time! We might have to try the balloon method.

Genius! I’ll have to include that idea in an upcoming episode! 😄
Haha love you picked up on the Nalgene "canister"
@@benmcauliffe8650 Agreed
I don't know whether to listen, not listen, or both.
Because it was satirical?
Here is the best ultralight tip you never covered: remove the straps and waist belt off your pack and carry it in your arms
Love that one! I’ll save that for the future. Thanks!
