41, been working construction since I was about 15. Glad to see young men willing to get out there and do that hard stuff. There's honor in a hard day's work and you can lay you head down on the pillow at night with pride and a clear mind.
Oh man Cory, I'm 41, been doing construction 🚧 since I was 16, work release at school. Now I'm in college to become a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor, but i do own a small construction company here in Minnesota, I still do it on the side and all those times and days we stood on scaffolding playing sliders doing siding windows Gutters Roofing whatever was necessary. I remember doing sheathing Tyvek siding the whole nine yards when it was that cold and we just buried through it man we really didn't think too much of it so I appreciate this young man working as hard as he does in the cold
@James-l5z5p there's still time my friend! Your life can be changed in the blink of an eye. If there's anything we can help ya with, lmk. You got this brother!
You are smart and adorable and could be the next big ranching star! Keep your narratives short and sweet. You've already got good editing skills and do a great job of mastering the volume levels. 🤠
You gain the respect of all of us watching, busten ass ...everyday when I was your age I had big list of chores, then school, then back to chores..long day!!! I'm 64 now you remind me of way back when.keep up the good work!!
I’m from SE Louisiana and we just got record/history making snow and the lowest it got was maybe 17-18F.. when he said “the high today is 2..” I wanted to throw up😂
I'm from the Czech Republic, it's a small country in Europe. But this is my dream. I know it's a very demanding job. I grew up around cows and one day I would like to work on a ranch like that too. Unfortunately, my parents prepared a different life for me. I wish you the best of luck.
Northeast Indiana - no matter where in the winter one is, having critters is tough work normally…when it’s freezing cold out, it’s really “refreshing”!
Love the Healthy, Gourmet meal duder!! And i have to apologize for my horse ass slapping comment, I can see by watching your content through and through that you have enough experience to do whatever you please with a horse I'm sorry that I gave you that instruction as a greenhorn myself around Equines. Much respect Ken. Watching from Minnesota, cold and colder Minnesota. Im not a city kid, so dont worry. I grew up on a crop farm, we never had livestock of any kind. Learned how to work tho. This farm 🚜 was in Warren Minnesota, my mom met mt step dad when i was 14, she moved me from the farm, by Canada 🇨🇦, to the Twin Cities, Minneapolis suburb and to be honest with you I was introduced to kids and things and substances and behaviors that I had never seen up north and it was a shock to me and I fell into drugs and alcohol and now I celebrate recovery and I watch people like you who made the right choices are doing the right thing and Inspire us man keep going bro. I love it bro thanks and I love that your grandparents watch that's awesome I wish my grandparents watched my stuff.
I'm almost 14 years clean from shooting dope and almost 6 years alcohol free. No disrespect to anyone who drinks, I learned the hard way, I don't judge anyone who does, so I'm not one of those guys who parades around and tells people they need to stay sober or else. I work my own program and if others follow so be it , if they don't, we will be here when they do. 😉
Your lucky we have no snow this year I've lived in south Dakota my whole life 😮 lots of people move here until they experience our 7 month winters ha ha.im guessing your west river😊
I like the hat. I know it’s a crown cap, but I’ve been wearing Stormy Kromer caps for a while and they remind me of those. Great hats. Especially on the cold days
10:38 i seen this coming when he first was talking nice to his pony 😅😅 I hate cold weather. I feel like horses, cows, dogs, etc are more jumpy than usual 😅😅😅 yet it's a young horse too
If it gets much colder than that you need to cover your face, doesn’t take long to get frostbite. The lows were around -20f this week up here Thunder Bay Ont
Yeah that's wonderful he's a hard-working person I started working at 15 1/2 years old and worked all my life I have some are retired now and still working
I live is western North Dakota so no stranger to cold. Making sure my few cows and horses stay warm and tanks dont freeze up. Lol it was going good on the tanks till the -45 wind chill came in then i was busting ice. Such as life😂 I see you guys dont have much for snow. Hope this year brings rain and little to no drought or we all going to be hurting on hay and hay prices.
Old geezer from the city here. Don't know how I landed here. But I'll tell you this. I'M exhausted just watching you do all this work. I have to take a nap now, but I'll be back for more hard work by you.
We watch as a family because you have clean and appropriate content and it is interesting and your work ethic attitude is inspiring. Keep it up and keep it clean.
I was breaking ice last week in negative 5 degrees 😅 for the first 3 days. Then I worn my boots when I have to feed. If there is snow than obviously I'm wearing boots 😅
Beautiful ranch country. Are you close to Rapid City? You are one tough son-of-gun riding out there in that -20's wind chill. I like the idea of that little insulated bridle room with a heater in it. Get those bits nice and warm. Elmer was feeling a little frisky there. I was hoping like heck he wasn't gonna dump you on that frozen ground. That could hurt and break bones. Hope it's warmed up since you recorded this video... Looking forward to coming down to the stock show. Always a fun time
Ill do it im a 62 Air Force and Army female veteran have owned horses, had a Brahma Bull anf cow and goats and chickens and worked small cattle ranches in Louisiana and Mississippi
Man I want to do this so bad! Wife and 3 kids makes it difficult. Not sure what the pay is like but if I could do this and afford to raise my family I’d pack up tomorrow and head there
Used to do this unpaid lol…people don’t understand that it’s a job and not some romantic Yellowstone spin off. It can be rewarding but when it’s cold you’re cold when it’s hot you’re hot and when it’s shitty it’s really shitty lol
im ready to do this now. I need to find someone in a state that is north west, cuz I live in Ohio. If I could have the opportunity to get acquainted with working in this industry, and work for a better supply of food, I cant think of too many things more important.
Wow! Super fun to watch. Very interesting. Question, do you have specific days off that you get every week? When you have days off, is there someone else that takes over your position? Please keep making videos. I live over in the Minneapolis area so I don't get to see this stuff very much.
Great question! I just feed on Saturdays and then have all day sunday off! This also varies on the season. Calving season will be about 7 days a week, but summer will be more like 5-6 days a week!

👍❤️
Couldn't agree more. Hard work pays off!

What is Elmer’s story? Or point me to a link where you’ve shared it before, thx!
We love seeing someone who clearly loves their horse

It actually warmed up once the wind died down!
Awsome video I love watching these

Surely do not know how you can ride in that cold weather, you are way tougher than me! Cheers fr. N. TX. ❣️🍀
You get used to it, you just gotta bundle up!
The reason I watch is that it’s more fun watching you than going out in this chilly 40° Florida weather!
😂😂

That was a polite way to say, edit the f bombs please
Ha! You said the “windshield” (caption) was minus 22. I think you meant “wind chill.” Great job on both the work and the videos!
Yea idk why I have that mental block 😂 I’ve always said windshield haha
Hey man, I’m a friend of James, don’t know if you call him that. Keep making them as long as you enjoy it. This is great to see

Find a ranch job in Southern Nevada or some where warmer. -22 is totally no fun.
Gotta love the seasons out here!
Man I want to do this so bad! Wife and 3 kids makes it difficult. Not sure what the pay is like but if I could do this and afford to raise my family I’d pack up tomorrow and head there

Yessir!
Effin cold. Makes everything harder than it needs to be.
im ready to do this now. I need to find someone in a state that is north west, cuz I live in Ohio. If I could have the opportunity to get acquainted with working in this industry, and work for a better supply of food, I cant think of too many things more important.
Hard work works.
Just a genuine question, how cold until it starts affecting the cows if they aren’t in a shelter?
I grow my beard out in the winter so I don't need a scarf but I will say this. Before I done that a scarf was my best friend in the winter 😅
Great video Ben YT is growing! Horses have much tolerance to cold?

Does your cattle dog like to heel the tires on the side x side? Thats all my blue healer does
