How come this hilux has lane departure warning and brake assist?? Non of the other hiluxs thats shipped to Australia, Asia has them. Is it dealer fitted or factory fitted??
They do but Euro spec comes with the top of the range 2.4, most other countries, to get these features you need to get the range topping top spec 2.8 gd-6
I own a 2017 raider 2.8 and mine has none of these features but the SR5 has navigation, lane keep assist, down hill ascent control, parking scenarios n i think thats the only difference 🤔 not that i need any of that 😄
KC Unleashed , That’s what I thought at first, too. But, truth be told, they are actually more useful than one initially imagines. For instance, DAC (downhill assist control) is a big help going downhill when off-roading because it makes the braking system more sensitive and responsive when the driver applies the brakes. I regularly go down a steep grade - around 30-40% incline - in inclement weather; it keeps me from sliding, without having to fight with the slope. Lane departure is great, too, because if you inadvertently begin to depart from your lane due to fatigue, it lets you know both visually and audibly. And when that happens in succession a couple of times, a signal comes on telling you to take break. Other than DAC, I agree, the other features aren’t absolutely necessary.

As you know, different markets have different specs. You guys get trim and accessories that aren’t available in Europe, that’s just how it goes.
