- this all started when I got laid off just a week before my trip to china...
after flying back to guangdong to meet up with family, we head to the beautiful Yunnan province for a week of healing, relaxing, exploring and eating!
Yunnan has always been on my travel list but watching 去有風的地方 last year got me seriously thinking about an itinerary
here are all the places I visited on this trip and can't wait to come back for other cities and towns

this time we found a guide through a local travel agency in Guangdong. But we were initially looking on xiaohongshu - there were a lot of options too

How did you get the tour guide? Was he the driver too? Just for the four of you?
It was through a local travel agency that my parents knew from Guangdong. He was both the guide and driver. We had an option to pay for a dedicated tour guide but didn’t feel like we need it! And yes just for the four of us, it’s more expensive than a big tour but more flexibility with time.
