I went to Vietnam for the first time last October, and this video made me miss it so much. The first time I met my cousin, he took my family to that chả cá place. He passed about a month after we met him, and so seeing that you stopped there brings back good memories of him. Hope you had the best time. Love your videos ❤
You're spot on on the last point. Since the city is quite walkable and incredibly safe, parents aren't afraid to let kids outside. It's also true Hanoi society is very much community based and less individualistic.
I haven't seen a travel vlog of Hanoi before, but wow, I love how much greenery there is, that night time scene with the lush trees and the soft lights at 19:15 was especially beautiful! Once again, you have inspired me to add another destination that I want to visit one day, I always enjoy the chill vibes of your travel vlogs
i love the way you chronicle your travels - they capture such genuine love for the places you visit. your italy series from a while ago are still my fav videos of yours. looking forward to the rest of the vietnam series!
I was searching Hanoi travel vlog on YT, and got this as the first one, clicked it directly to watch because I'll be solo traveling Hanoi, too next month!! I am kinda an introverted person, too at times and I can totally relate with this. Love the places you've been to, food, streets, etc... will definitely check some of these out when I'm there, too soon.
Deborah, this is genuinely my favorite vlog you've ever made. The way you captured the beauty of each location is incredible & during those montages, it feels like I'm experiencing the city while you are
It's so cool to see you traveling the world! I remember when you were just starting out and I'm so so happy for you! You've grown into a big inspiration for my videos & I am traveling as well at the moment!! Hope you're having a wonderful day!!!
I totally get it that you can enjoy alone time and just do whatever you want. I am from near Chicago and recently explored Vietnam mostly alone for the first time. Enjoy the rest of your Vietnam trip and looking forward to seeing more videos. Thanks.
Yes, we Vietnamese people are community oriented! When the North has to face the bad consequences of Yagi storm, the entire country focuses on the loss of the North and does the best to help them! Thank you for your experience in Hanoi.
Even though I watch your foody content all the time, I can't help but be surprised when watching this vlog because you diligently visit many typical (high reviewed) places that far apart on every meal, something that even I live here don't recommend my friends to do when traveling 😂
You won’t know, but your existence makes me happy and comfortable. Your channel is impressive to me. Whenever I get bored or tired, your channel makes me happy. Thank you Borah🤍
Absolutely loved this video! You looked soooo happy while eating haha… PLUS those drinks you had 😍😍 I’m visiting Vietnam soon and this was so inspiring! LOVE THE OUTFITS🤩 thankyou for sharing!!
I wish you were here just a week ago, or exactly right now, which is the best time of Hanoi. But I'm still happy you came here and wish you luck on your journey.
it's nice to see there are places like hanoi with so much greenery and so much to explore just by walking everywhere. love that you use that boosegumps song in your videos too. :') can't wait to see more solo travel vids from you! :D (coming from insta btw)
Omg, welcome to my country. I'm your subscriber for a year from Vietnam. I'm currently living in Hanoi and so sad when I could not meet you during the time you were here.
it was so emotional watching your video, Hanoi is full of hustle but somehow still has certain peace unlike the overcrowding and dyanmic life in Saigon (which is great too), maybe because it is the capital of Vietnam since 1010 so it has witnessed all the beginning, from the first university of Vietnam - Temple of Literature, Thang Long imperial citadel to the day Hanoians fought back the France and US, the capital being liberated in 1954, being bombed again and then shot down the B52 flying forts in 1972, witnessed the pass away of their greatest leader Hochiminh in 1969 in Ba Dinh Square (now his mausoleum is in Ba Dinh square, it such a beautiful and peaceful place). Ha noi has witnessed all the vibrant lifestyle nowadays but also very sad yet proud, iconic and tranquil momments of their history.
perhaps it was because you know how much discipline & mindfulness it takes to slow down in such a frantic world, and after a long day of taking your time, you felt like you too deserved a dessert just like everyone else who hurried there earlier in the day..? but regardless, I’m certain you still enjoy the many overlooked benefits of approaching life at a slower pace✨😌
@@dobochobo Oh that's great, thank you. They don't show up on the map unless you search for them it looks like. So fun to see all those places again, I was there in Feb and I can't wait to go back!
hanoi looks so beautiful and peaceful!! i plan to travel after i graduate, hopefully i'll be able to visit hanoi too. if u don't mind sharing your itinerary, i would really appreciate it
Aww thank you for this video! Did you feel like it was safe to solo travel here as a woman? And would love your recommendations/itinerary for places to eat in Hanoi!!
obviously you should always be aware of your surroundings, but esp for a big city, hanoi felt very safe :) my itinerary was also kind of "go with the flow", but i highly recommend the places i visited in the video ^^
