    Excellent! I don't really want lips done as such, but have vertical lines that I'm very resentful of as a never ever smoker, and wouldn't mind if my lips looked more hydrated. I'd come across Volbella as a potential and this is making me more enthusiastic about trying it!

    Wow just stumbled upon your channel again after probably a year. I dont know why your videos dont appear anymore in my reccomended, considering i am still subscribed, but just remembered how obsessed i am with your videos! Your explanations are wonderful, and the most shocking part is seeing that you now look 5 years younger than I remembered! I really appreciate your work, and the way you explain things. Have a wonderful day, and thank you for this amazing content!

    Fantastic content as always. I thoroughly enjoy your delivery and professionalism. I would so appreciate a video concerning lip lines and treating that issue specifically. In my case, my top lip is a heck of a lot thinner than my lower. I'm fine with having sad, thin and disappointing lips...I've had them my entire life. However, I have 2 prominent lip lines in the middle of my philtrum and they piss me off to no end. I've never smoked a day in my life and don't use straws. I did have a Juvederm injection 3 years ago in effort to treat this problem but it didn't. My lips were fuller, yes, but the cursed lines were still evident. Is there a different approach to address this challenge?

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The lip lines can be tricky! You could try something like Belotero (basic) there. I find that lip lines generally appear due to volume loss in that area which means you might need to put some 'supporting' product in with a cannula a bit deeper first before you try to tackle the lines.

    Great video! I got Juvederm in my lips about 5 months ago (maybe?) and at first it was really bad because i had an allergic rraction and my lips swelled up huge! And unenven. It was awful. But when that finally went away (after 1 day or 2) they looked so good! I still think they look great. My lips werent bad to begin with (in fat the nurse practitioner who did mine said she loves doing lips like mine because theyll get a good result), but I just wanted a little for definition around the upper lip and slightly more fullness in the bottom. Unfortunately Ive lost some of that definition thru age-Im 39. I only got .5ml but it was plenty and made all the difference to me. No one would even be able to tell without me telling them. Its that subtle but its funny how much of a difference it made to me. And thats what really matters. Btw i asked her about what she thinks Kylie Jenner did to get hers SO much bigger than they were and her response was 'I have no idea!!' She was basically saying that anyone with lips as small as hers was cant be made to look how they look as good as they look now with filler alone. That was her take anyway but I'm curious what you think. Do you think she had something else done? I also think its good to educate women that its very hard to go from very small to very big. Most people will look best with a small amount added.

    What’s your favourite lip filler to use on a young person who is looking to get definitions in the cupid bow area - that is long lasting and won’t spread to much outside the definition area? Thank you :) p.s love watching your informative videos.

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I would say it's much more important to focus on the practitioner rather than the product, however, saying that if I was going to pick my favourite filler for this particular area it would be Belotero Intense.
      Avoid people that don't know what they are doing because if they mess it up there's little we can do other than dissolve all the filler and start again and this is far from ideal!

    How much does this typically cost in the US? Is this good for lip lines " smoked lines"?

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Average price in US is $775 for this treatment and this will vary based on location and practitioner experience. For smoked lines you could try something like Belotero (basic). lip lines generally appear due to volume loss in that area which means you might need to put some 'supporting' product in with a cannula a bit deeper first before you try to tackle the lines.

    i am really interested in getting my lips done a bit because i am 35 and my lips are so tiny compared to when i was younger and they are SO dry all the time. my main concerns, as a man, are obvious, but i've seen some gnarly cases, particularly from a side profile, where the product seems to migrate and the whole mouth region seems puffy. are there products that stay in place better or is this an issue of application from the doctor?

    • @DrSarahTonks
      @DrSarahTonks  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You are right, it's not so much the product that determines the migration factor alone. Some practitioners try to put too much product into the soft tissue envelope (which can't take too much product!) and that's what causes the migration. However having said that I find- as long as you aren't being ridiculous with it 🤣 products like Belotero (shape and contour) works really well in this respect because it's so soft. There's also Belotero (balance) and Belotero (intense) if you are concerned with minimising migration.
