vlog # 28 - A December weekend in NYC
We took a spontaneous trip to New York back in early December! We were coming from Austin, Texas for my best friend’s wedding and Austin has direct flights to JFK.
We used our Jet Blue flight credit from our 8 hour delay back in the North Carolina Thanskgiving vlog.
We wanted to visit family, see friends, and also try to get an appointment for Global Entry at JFK. There were no appointments at all in San Diego or LA until next year (way after our honeymoon) but JFK had some! We got so lucky and got our interview and fingerprints done upon arrival at JFK!
New York is so lively, vibrant, and busy during Christmas! There’s endless festive things to do, like going to The Nutcracker by the New York City Ballet, checking out Christmas markets, walking around to see the Christmas tree at Rockefeller center, special holiday events going on in the city, and so much more!
This was a really quick weekend trip and spent only Saturday and Sunday in the city and flew back Monday, so it’s definitely not enough time to do all the touristy things but I’ve done all those on previous trips to NY.
