Do u keep the same number? What happens with your original number? When u go home and put your original sim back in your phone does it go back to normal?
Hi. Yes, once you put the original sim back, your home country phone service goes back to normal. To safeguard your contacts, you may like to save them in the phone memory.
If I want to buy a SIM card for a longer term (60 days), which is the best option? If I buy one from the airport with 30-day validity, can I recharge or extend it from 7-11 shops after 30 days?
@Mahenaw Hi. Once the original plan period of a Tourist SIM is over, it becomes like a regular SIM which can be used further after a top-up. The best way is to download and install the SIM brand's app. From the app, you can track usage and expiry, and also do a top-up as needed. The original plan cannot be extended, but you can choose a plan from the available list for the next 30 days, or as long as you want to use it. All top-up and plan activation options are available online in the app. There is no need to go to a 7-Eleven or any other shop.
So does that mean - the apps prescribed by them are only free to use like whatsapp and facebook ? what about other apps? like trading view and all? can we use it on internet there or we need to purchase different plan for that?
@karanoza6142 Hi. Any app can be used with the internet pack available on the SIM. No need to buy extra internet. For the free to use apps, they don't count the internet you use.
@adarshdasrapuria5090 True and dtac have merged into a single company. Currently, these two are brands owned by True Corporation. Both the brands share the same merged network, and hence, network-wise, there is no difference between the two SIM cards.
Hi friend. I tried to get some useful information for you, but unfortunately, I got nothing special. All I can do is Google it, but you can do the same.
@tf628 I just saw the website. It is 199 Baht for 30 days. 15 GB data at max speed, no domestic calls and no call credit. Still not a bad deal to use for data only.
@Ememex8614 To the best of my knowledge, all Tourist SIM cards, valid upto 30 days, by AIS, DTAC or True, offer both 4G and 5G data. If you have a 5G phone, you will get 5G data.
avoid recharging your sim card on the true move site. The system is not clear on the steps to follow, especially for a foreigner. payment on one page and validation on another page but no automatic link to this validation page, no warning. so if no validation after 24 hours the amount is lost forever with no possible refund. Call center and office staff in very bad faith will not listen to you.
@jefferydaley755 I know there is a 7-Eleven at Bangkok's Suvarnabhumi Airport (Level B). About other airports in Thailand, I don't have info right now.
@shameema111 True Move's website address is displayed in the video at several places, including at the time when a reference to the website is made. You may also search on Google for True Move Tourist SIM. It is not allowed to share outside links in TH-cam comments. Please Google.

7-11 you can buy a 30 day for 199 Baht. Only 4G though.
@melee75 Hi. Yes, there are two DTAC 7-Eleven SIM variants: 49 Baht and 199 Baht. Here is my video on that: th-cam.com/video/Q9vwc1RxarA/w-d-xo.html
True sim is better or dtac ? Which service provider is better ?

Hi friend. I tried to get some useful information for you, but unfortunately, I got nothing special. All I can do is Google it, but you can do the same.
Isn't there an unlimited 30 day sim at 7/11 for around 150 baht ?
@tf628 If it is there, it would be great. I will try to find out.
@tf628 I just saw the website. It is 199 Baht for 30 days. 15 GB data at max speed, no domestic calls and no call credit. Still not a bad deal to use for data only.
Sim card we buy from airport it get activated instantly or takes time?
@jugalchoudhary4767 Hi. It is instantly activated by the staff at the SIM counter.
how long will it take for activation after getting it?
@sukhi7993 Hi. The company staff activate it on the spot. You will receive the activation message, and the SIM will start working instantly.
AIS is for me the best 👍🏻
@kevinsauter1548 Sure, AIS is a good network too. I will cover their SIM card soon.
Did you do the 4G option? I don’t see many options for longer stay for 5G unless it’s 8 days only

@slesru Like I suggested in my other comment, download the MyAIS app.

@mousmekam7989 Thank you for sharing this. It looks like using the official company app for top-up will be a better option.
