It’s always a good feeling knowing that you are able to help out. There’s a saying it’s better to give than to receive. So sad that things like this happens and it’s always the poor and the needy suffers. I admire you both for extending help for my kababayan, I’m a Filipino born Canadian living in Canada for quite sometime. Like you both, helping people is one of my advocacy.

for the kare-kare, you are supposed to put the shrim paste (oyap) into the kare-kare. it will add or enhance or spice-up it's flavor. but the oyap is salty. so it's your choice.
True!! Whatever happens the first thing we do is to build or put up the flag pole. My father(rip) was just a 5th grader finish but every time theres a typhoon and everything was down, trees, plants, houses, building and so on, he went first to the school and check the flagpole if its okay. (He served 3 term as a councilor in my place) we always ask him why. He said if you saw the flag is still waiving and flying that means you still have the chance to build your house and yourself. And after he said that, he will joked around and said: try to be a flag, hang yourself upside down what will you do?😂 of course, sway where the wind blows....😊😊
Finn, I have helped with a couple of fires like this one the best thing to get or give to these people is kitchen ware pots pans plates ect. They want to be out of the crowded tempory housing and need to be able to cook for themselfs. Just a suggestion

the flaming reddish orange sun is truly mesmerizing
i rarely get to have a glimpse of a sunset in cebu
also, the resort's drinks & hawaiian pizza (near the infinity pool) _won't_ burn your wallet at all
