Grand L6060 1 year review

Well since I haven't stopped to give an update on the Kubota Grand L6060 since last winter I thought I would give a brief update on how Optimus Maximus has been holding up throughout the Summer. It has been great! I really am so pleased with this tractor and how well it has fit into our farm. So before I take the loader off and install the subframe and blower here are my thoughts.

Love the overview of the big tractor. My B2601 has been great-and I got it with a grapple. I agree, the grapple is so useful. I have a large cutting edge on my bucket, too, and am not sure how much I really needed it, but it's hard to say because I have gotten so used to it. But I believe I can tell that it has lessened my lifting capacity by the weight of the tooth bar. Something to think about on a small tractor.

Kevin I see you do not have your brush guard on. Same problem I had with the front hitch bracket you can’t put the brush guard on. Kubota part L4481 fixes this problem! It is the bracket for the auto hitch and also has ears on it for the brush guard!

I just ordered the L4481 on 4-17. When it comes in I will share pictures. The link I sent you is a video of a Grand L with this part on it. I just paused video to get a look at it. When I get mine I will share pictures. The price from my dealer is $160.

Thanks for your video. Do you see and negatives about the L6060? The hydraulic couplings seem set out to the side. Do you hit them when in the forest or when using the grapple? I am deciding between the 60 series and the MX. thanks!

No I think that the Grand l660 is excellent especially for the things that I use it for. In a winter it's only used for snow blowing however in the summer time I use it for hauling the trailer, land level, grapple, and I use the front end loader as well. This year I'll be using the wood chipper on the back as well and I'll see how that goes. No I haven't had any problems with the hydraulic couplers where they're attached. I actually love how convenient it is to use it and the wonderful cab. Hope this is helpful. Have a great day!

Does your L6060 feel under powered? My brother has a l3560 and it just does not feel like it has any power. Every little grade makes the tractor feel like a dog. My l6060 is ready for delivery.

No, in fact, I think that the l6060 is more than adequate power for everything that I do. I love it!
