    Nice rescue, good for you. You better check your math.... I was born in 1960, but I'm only 62. LOL.
    And thank you for your video on the install of the Shad stuff on your Z900rs. It made the install on my 2019 Z900rs Cafe super easy. I got the 39 liter top box and the same small side cases you got. I did disassemble my rear turn signals and cut about 3/8th of an inch off the bulb portion of the stalk, then grind about the same amount off the little post inside, and reassemble. Now there's plenty od clearance between the signal and the side case.

    Ummmmm. That thing hasn’t even existed for 76 years. It was manufactured from around 1980 to 1984

    It should four stroke downhill because you are taking the load off the engine and she doesn’t need all the gas. Runs great! If she goes as fast or almost as fast slightly uphill as it dies on the flat then your main jet is too big. Just another test to keep in mind.

      @@kentuckyyankee sure thing. I meant to say almost as fast slightly uphill as on the flat.

    Great little Bikes 50cc..look forward to the next one your going to tackle...Got my first 50cc at 15yrs to..was a Jawa Pionyr type 555 which my dad made me strip it down to the frame & rebuild it to teach me some mechanical skills.. I soon moved to a twin seat version same Make to take the ladies home from school...bit of a mission going up steep hills though..I was wise not to mention the extra weight on the back was the cause...🤣😂

    That fuel petcock works by vacuum off the carb or intake side. Simple machines. At least you know its working.

    You can find the service manual on Manualslib, it's useful. Put the petcock on ON while driving, not on PRIME

  • @plywoodpusher14
    @plywoodpusher14 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    For the Fuel: Fuel will flow freely to the carb on Prime, this is for bikes that have been sitting for a while.
    Run and Reserve will only let fuel flow when the bike is being started (kicking) or is running.

    I just bought a air filter for my FA 50, why do I need to soak it in oil and the wring it out?

    • @kentuckyyankee
      @kentuckyyankee  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @SwitchAddict Helps to keep the fine dust out. I'm not sure that you have to do that. It may also make it run just a little richer.

    "Suzuki FA50 runs after SITTING for 76 Years!!!" Uh, If it's a 1984, then it would have been 38 years old in 2022. The FA50 is a cool little bike, but it is not a moped, as it has no pedals. Compared to something like a Puch or Tomos, which I've had quite a few of (with pedals) the FA50 is way more complicated, and most of the parts are no longer available. You can still get most of the parts for a Puch or Tomos. The FA50 has a vacuum operated petcock, gas will come out of the PRIME position without the engine running, but the engine has to be running to make gas come out with it in the ON or RESERVE positions. That crap in the carburetor is from ethanol gas. Reed valves can be troublesome. Most moped engines are just plain piston port. The Tomos A35 had reed valves. When they switched to the A55, they got rid of the reed valves, and it was actually faster. 30 mph should be top speed. I wouldn't trust that old oil pump. It's likely deteriorated. I use 40:1 premix in mopeds. You might foul a plug once in a while, but that's better than a blown engine. Thank you for calling it what it actually is. Nothing wrong with a noped, as long as you don't call it a moped. In my state, nopeds require a motorcycle license (which I have) and mopeds don't.

      He has been wearing it out! His favorite color is blue. I did have to put him back on the GT80 tho cause the field is beating the little ped to death!
