I like how clean and detailed are the photos with 64 mpx camera
LGs mics never let me down I'll wait for production units. Photos look great especially in low light.
The g8 mic had distortion problems with increasing the gain

The LG V60 is the beast in camera photo and Video qualities and features
Beast on everything... Doesn't look bad at all and I personally love the design, The chipset and GPU everything is OP! Best for gaming as well as with camera performance both in daylight and night time, Battery health is nice, Display is comparatively nice, Fast in display fingerprint, Water and dust resistance 8/10 which is extremely nice.. You can go out with it on pocket or hand peacefully even when it's raining, It can survive up to 30 mins under 1.5 meter of water
mics are having a hard time in the wind go into menu and adjust the gain and wind rejection.
Wish the front facing camera was a wide angle. Cmon LG!
I never gave a shit about that. I guess I don't take selfies enough to care. I got the phone. Upgraded from pixel 4. Huge improvement in battery and performance. Also the camera is much more versatile. Pixel definitely has the better camera in terms of photo processing (most of the time especially in low light) the LGs manual mode and wife angle made it over all better for me personally. I got 12 hours screen on time. Got 5 with pixel. Pathetic lol. Not a power user phone for sure
@@fubarexress6359 I'm coming from a Note 9 and the v60 might be my next phone. Do you use the second display much? I mainly wanted the wife angle front shooter for vlogs.

I think you are the only channel with photo samples for the V60.
LG never really fixed the problem with HDR on the front cam from what I've seen. You have to tap to focus and bring down the exposure yourself. Otherwise the details look nice. I'm glad to see someone getting some hands on time with the V60 which will be my next phone. I hope LG didn't get too fancy and overcorrected with the 4 mics. I'm just excited for the phone having owned the V10 (which I now have just for kicks and my kids), V20 and V30. Not too thrilled about the size but I'm excited about how that massive battery will perform on a 1080p screen capped at 60hz.
I hope for 1080 on v series because of the battery life issue. I'm still using v20 with 2k res but will upgrade to v60 because it is 1080 and 5000mah. 😁
@@NeuralSpike13 yeah the battery life is so good on the V60. You won't have battery anxiety at all anymore.
The quality seems great but it can be improved the front cam is sometimes overexposed on backgrounds

LG phones never get old.
Standard, ultra wide and selfie stills all look fantastic. The zoom, transition between lenses, microphone and zoom are all pretty horrible though. That being said I always have a soft spot for LG phones and feel they're extremely under rated.

Audio quality should be just fine. The issues you are hearing is with wind and over compensation for noise cancellation.

Please compare with the Sony Xperia 1 mark II as soon as you have a chance to get your hands on that one. No notch and a headphone jack makes me wonder if that or the v60 will be my next phone.

All photos were taken using the LG V60's auto mode.

I don't see the image gallery with the original photos at your site. The articles says they are "below" but they aren't. Where are they?
Okay, now the image gallery is there, but the images are downsized to 5MP and the EXIF data is stripped, making them useless.

From the still photos it looks like is the sony sensor?Not that I ve seen the new sensor in real life but the way that daylight photos are shown looks like a Sony sensor.Not bad but these days even a 400 euros/dollars device is able to take very good pictures in good natural light.I think for LG it will come down to the price.
This phone will be roughly $1000 when it hit store shelves. LG has a few mid range devices, but the V60 definitely isn't going to be one of them.
If you wait 3 months, you'll probably be able to get it new for $700.

It's future proof, so that you have 8k video when 8k becomes the standard in 3 years. There's nothing worse than watching 480 video from an old phone on a 4k display.

What happened to the audio?
It was a very windy day and the mics were trying to cut down on the wind noise. Unfortunately, that's extremely hard.

@@otay2050 yes. You have to scroll to the "more" option. Then hit the download icon. The cine shot will be there. You just have to add it.
@@moopoo18 not the cine shot but the cine video they had on the previous V series. They had stored luts that created movie like effects. It made me feel like Michael Bay lol

@@xcbrr50 I am not so sure, because every video taken on V60 I saw has this issue. V30 is indeed beast, I still have it as a backup phone.

They lowered the resolution because of the dual screen accessory. 2 WQHD+ displays would have been overkill for the battery.

This phone needs to hurry up and come out. The pixel 4 was a huge flop, so this is really my only alternative for a good flat screen android phone.

Besides with such impressive set of features this device is worth the price Sony asking for it. In my opinion.
Peter Durum the xperia 1 has been confirmed to be about 1200 USD. I’m not paying that much for a phone.

The front facing camera looks really bad. I don't get why lg isn't in the same level as Samsung, Apple or even Oneplus.
the front camera is anything but bad... It did overexposed the sky but the details on his face was stellar and crispy. The galaxy would've also take an overexposed sky but with a soft image on the subject instead bcuz of their aggressive beauty mode even when off.
@@rajnibrown2194 yeah, but the color profile as well, I found it to be quite poor... And when it comes to Samsung, they seem to have improved a little when it comes to facial smoothing. Actually, I have an S8 and it was never a problem to me, only in low light, when things get really soft.
@@kaos267 well for me, even the s10 images are soft even in very good lighting. samsung front camera isn't that beter than lg. I don't own either a lg or samsung so i am not bias but it seems people that used samsung are always bias esp when lg smartphones are in the mixed. If lg cameras were so bad, they wouldn't have gotten such high marks on vcx camera ranking.
Most time lg smartphones are better than samsung in almost every way possible but people always overlooked lg for reason that i don't know.

No lg v60
I have a LG V40...god the phone sucks. Weak battery life and the UI is just terrible, but LG phones do have great signals since their phones work on all carriers. I probably will buy an LG V60. I'd rather buy a Huawei phone to be honest, but Chinese phones have terrible reception.
They changed the UI and several other things on Android 10 look it up

Don't like the front camera... It's too good. If that makes any sense. You can see my fricken atoms on it. V20 cam was better.
Unconvincing: Photos are often over-saturated, lack sharpness even in the small YT window.
Just get a different phone to find what fits you.
I cannot believe this audio quality is from an LG phone, I used all the Vs already and this is by far the worst generation in terms of sound recording. I don't understand how they downgraded the quality, V50s still holds up very well, It's my current phone
I wouldn't say that. The wind conditions were really bad. You can see in the background in one video how much the wind was blowing. Without a deadcat, very few devices would perform well in that situation.

Watch other videos of the v60 and you'll see how well the mics perform.
Why manufacturers still pushing this old 4:3 ratio? Last phone I had that embraced properly 16:9 was Lumia 1020. I miss that.
For photos? 4:3 is a universal standard for digital cameras. Going 16:9 really messes with work flows and makes images look smaller when they are viewed embedded on websites in Facebook and Instagram.

@@harysviewty the f-stop number is a ratio between aperture and focal length only. It doesn't scale with sensor size like how you can treat focal length with a crop factor. f1.8 is f1.8.
And I'm fine with a slightly smaller aperture anyway. I don't like the super shallow depth of field, and it's helpful with long exposure work.

@@harysviewty And I'm saying that isn't correct. If you have a given focal length and aperture, then shrink the sensor, all it does is narrow the field of view. It's the exact same result as if you took a photo with the larger sensor and cropped it on your computer. The amount of light hitting the smaller sensors is the same, and the depth of field/bokeh is the same. If you switch to a smaller sensor and back up so you get the same subjects in the image, that can change the amount of bokeh, but that is related to the camera to subject distance and not sensor size.

Why would they go for such a weird frame rate of 26fps. They should've went with 24fps
Because processing 8k videos usually lead to a frame or two drops.. So they are compensating for it
@@aman11022 the problem is 26fps isn't a standard for anything. It's not usable unless you down scale it to 24 in post. 24, 30, 60 are what people usually use.

@@chriswright8074 only lg has problems with dropping frames or recording unevenly. Not an issue for Samsung or apple because their software isn't crap. Any one buying the v60 is buying a lemon

The drop notch ruined it's looks. In display puch hole would have looked beautiful.
