I think you need to make the distinction between the lane departure assist where the purpose is to keep you from leaving the lane to the thing you expect which is the travel assist or yes lane keep assist. The first one is always on and only reacts when you diverge from the lane. You should read the manual for that. Otherwise like the down to earth reporting from a daily user. We have the id3 without the travel assist and it won't keep you in the middle of the road. But also our Ioniq 5 only keeps you in the lane when you activate the self steering otherwise same deal with just warning on departure
In the first minutes you had ACC active but not the Travel Assist. Only the latter will keep you at the position in the lane (which you can actually change by soft oversteer and hold that position against the resistance of the Travel Assist, and the car will accept that as the new lane position). You got it after the 7th minute. On your other issues I recommend to read the manual. It is rather lengthy and has all the info.
Nice review, thank you. Two questions. What is "B" mode when driving forward? And Is the a yellow square around the N and R symbol viewable with the naked eye or is that something your camera is picking up? Thank you
I recently had lane assist in a Skoda hire and realised that it only made an attempt to keep you in the lane rather than steer you within the lane and direction of tavel.
I think if you press limit that will set the speed to what you set the limit to. As for the lane assist and acc I have a mk8 golf and when they work properly they are good but unfortunately can’t be relied on so kinda annoying. Sometimes speed sign recognition isn’t always accurate so will sometimes slam on the brakes because it has misread the sign. Technology is great but only when it works.😊
The only time you'll need this tech is when you are distracted - trying to fiddle with the touch screen to control er....all the tech. I'm very unsure about this - feels like its fixing a problem that didn't really exist. I would like to see a return to physical buttons and driver experience rather than technology-first gadgets.
So far is better at everything except range, because its a bigger vehicle and the mobile app. But I love it and I always knew the range would be lower as its a big lump.
Apparently the regulations in Europe/UK limit how much angle the vehicle is allowed to self steer. The system is capable of so much more but regs holding us back.
All this touch screen and steering wheel buttons are no different in my opinion to using a mobile phone whilst driving and should be banned. Why can you not have a big knob blue one end red the other, to turn the heat up and down ......
After watching your video, I think you are after a fully autonomous vehicle, I suggest you turn everything off, put your hands on the steering wheel, use your eyes, and drive like you should .... lane assist is not for going around corners ...
ok, way too much distractions while driving , playing with your wheel buttons , and also that large screen in front of you . bring back old style driving with both hands on wheel and no fiddling with things that distract from driving the vehicle
Interested in the range you can get in the winter,

Jen, for the mode and view button, I think you need to swipe it, left or right.
I'm enjoying your voyage of discovery! I'm on this learning trip with you! Keep up the great content!
Yes, swipe to get over to the limiter. It's the same in my ID.3.
Thanks, it works when I do that.

I’m deliberately not reading the manual, it makes for a more genuine video I think, they don’t give you a paper copy anymore which is a bit annoying.

Bouncing between the lanes is so disappointing like you said. 8+ yr old cars could do that back then. Gosh

Yes we have found that, it tried to speed me through a 30 zone at 60 once!
@@RealBuzzLife ....that's scary. Putting lives at risk.
I have lane assist in my camper, it's called a steering wheel.
😂
Many thanks for the great effort indeed.
Is there a manual version or not?
No it’s an electric car
No, nearly all electric vehicles are automatic as they only need one gear.

How do you find the Buzz compares to the Niro you had previously ?

That close tailgate setting is for the few Audi drivers 😂

Ah thanks

Yes, now if only Tesla made a van 🤣

The technology is too distracting for safe travel on the road ⚠
I’ll let you know when I crash, if you’re lucky you may get a video of it 😂
