We have dogs and a VW van before. Put a protective film on the top of the bumper now or it'll get scratched up badly by the dog. There are a lot of options from VW or Amazon
Our dog travels much better since going electric - has never been travel sick when it was regular in a petrol car. Very interested in your videos as we’d like to upgrade from id.3 to Buzz when we’ve saved a few pennies!
Investment in a small foldable ramp could well save that lovely new paintwork. Also, there's a new UK law about having a pet restraint in vehicles. Hefty fine if caught without one.
Totally agree. Rule 57 of the Highway Code that states: “When in a vehicle make sure dogs or other animals are suitably restrained so they cannot distract you while you are driving or injure you, or themselves if you stop quickly.” Being in the boot counts as suitably restrained, but she could be hurt in an accident. In later videos you’ll see we have a temporary crate in there now and we’re making a more permanent version. But she’s not happy about not having the whole boot to wonder around in. 🤣
@@RealBuzzLifeYou could try a cargo style net meant for pets; seen a lot of owners use those. The rule change wasn't widely publisised as far as I can tell. I just happened to read about it in an article that came up in my Google news feed. I rather suspect that a great many owners will get caught out which is why I thought it worth letting you know. For a lot of owners having your furry/hairy/feathered monsters free roaming in the car is cute, but it really is dangerous in the event of an accident. Unrestrained, they can turn into a missile in the event of hard braking or an accident, hurting passengers both in their vehicle, & should they go through the windscreen, occupants of the vehicle in front. Same goes for kids that aren't restrained. Read a recent story of a 4yr old, now an adult, whose mum didn't make him wear a seatbelt. She had to brake suddenly & he went flying forward, straight into her skull, killing her instantly & now he still feels guilty as an adult because he was the cause of her death even though it was his mum who was to blame.

can you fit a large full bicycle in there without taking out the wheels?
We have 2 of those dogs (cane Corso), and get our Buzz in April. This will be our road-trip car
Splendid Indeed!
