Thank you very much for coming back to me. That’s really reassuring as I do travel to Europe in my current vehicle and wanted to make sure the Buzz is right for these journeys.

You can get a faraday cage box for your keys in the house which will stop the keys talking to the car, the other bonus is that it stops people scanning for the key codes to steal your car.

Not really true vampire drain. The major culprit is heating options, which are user controlled functions and will use quite a lot as the Buzz cabin is enormous. However as you have shown how to turn these off, I'd say not vampire drain in the sense Teslas used to loose 2/3% a night for no actual reason other than running 'the IT'. I hadn't come across the key opening the car constantly on VWs but seems like you've run into a real problem, not just for the heating but general security. It may also prevent the car going fully to sleep after locking - on MEB this is around 15 minutes after locking. This would also affect overnight battery drain. My ID.4 does not have keyless entry and needs me to push a button, so I've never experienced it.
Thanks for the helpful videos giving insights into the newest MEB car, certainly make an interesting watch.

Talking about battery drain, I was in my local VW dealership recently to see about getting a Buzz for my next company car. I asked about a sunroof or pano roof as an option and the sales person said that the sunroof will be an option on a larger battery vers next year. I dispose more glass would add to further heat escape and also the cover needed when sunlight is strong.

Hi, I had hoped that you would produce some additional practical videos, about the care and feeding of a Buzz. We picked up my wife's yellow and white Buzz today, and because of the insights you gave, we were able to see that just moving a set of keys inside the house resulted in the Buzz interacting with the keys. So now we have to either find a better location to store the keys, or construct some sort of Faraday cage to hold them.

Sounds like you need a faraday cage key locker in the house which will block the signal from key to the car. These are likely to be popular with thieves so that would be a good precaution anyway

What are the little square opening bits in the ceiling in the back? Air vents? Coat hangers?

And it's also helpful to put AC of if it's not necessary.

Hi, I’ve come across your channel and really pleased with your uploads on the Buzz as it’s a vehicle I’m thinking about. The range is the only thing putting me off but after seeing your range video it has given me some reassurance. Have you also taken the Buzz on a summer trip fully loaded as I’m very keen to see what the range is then. All the best.

Hi, I’ve driven the Buzz from Bristol to Scotland, Holland, Austria and Spain. There’s definitely nothing wrong with the range, I do recommend you use charging networks like Tesla or Ionity if you can. They’re very reliable.

Hi! Thanksfor the videos.I'm just wondering if you still have the id. Buzz, and how you are finding it? I'm thinking of buying one second hand, and mostly interested to know if there has been any sign of degradation in the battery/range.thanks👍.

Yes I still have it, I still love it except the software which is rubbish. There has been no battery degradation. Battery degradation is a myth that the petrol industry like to keep peddling.

I love these, but it's silly things like having to worry about 1-2% of battery drain when it's parked that's really putting me off getting an #EV. I don't have to worry about this with my 50 year old Type 2

I don't have to worry about it either with my 2016 ev nissan leaf. It doesn't have all these special functions that the newer models have. The evs are different then ice vehicles, but the pros outweigh the cons. As in my city, charging is free, if you know where to go. I haven't paid for gas in 2 years.

It's not a problem on most cars. It's probably not an issue on the Buzz if you don't constantly open it. My ID.4 has been parked up for 4 days now and is still at 80%, exactly what it was at when I parked it. ID.4 and Buzz have the same EV platform and software. Tesla resolved the vampire drain on their cars several years ago.

oh it's one of those things that we need to unlock. and it is required for a monthly subscription to unlock that features, so it won't drain your battery... that would be £150 per month please... 😂
