1:10:30 this is an absolute gem. I've known about this concept of "leaving room for the listener" from other big producers but I feel like this explanation Jack presents is kind of a game changer. "If something is a fact there is no longer any space for the listener." Thats such a tangible thing to keep in mind while producing, to push for that impression of bigness vs literal bigness.
Leaving space for the listener is such a mind blowing concept, all of my favorite music is so much more minimal than things I make myself. Gotta get better at taking things out, less is more for real
