    For those asking yes this is Oxygen OS 12 on the OnePlus 9 Pro. To be fair I wanted to use the latest software. I wasn't aware that that update brought oversaturation to the images on the 9 Pro. To me this makes ZERO sense 🤷🏻‍♂️

    In India, I'm getting 9 pro for around 590$ with lot of discounts. 10 pro hasn't launched but will likely be priced around 950$.
    So even being one year old, I'll happily buy 9 pro and save 400$

    Another great detailed comparison from you as expected.
    The ultra-wide is really a downgrade as it can't do video on 4k60fps also no 8K(useless though) other than that software tweaks of main camera is really good. Little upgrades but appreciable. I hope the rumor of a ultra/pro+ of OnePlus 10 come true with some major upgrade from 9Pro.

    • @rmendez011
      @rmendez011 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not to mention that the 8K on the 9 Pro is 30fps compared to 24fps on the 10 Pro. They also decided to remove the 60fps option for the front camera in Oxygen OS 12 for the 9 and 9 Pro.

    Regarding still images, it all comes down to processing considering that main camera sensors are the same. I don't believe that SD888 can't process photos the way SD8 gen1 does/ Looks like it's done deliberately to encourage upgrade. OP isn't alone here though.

    As you mentioned same main cam sensor so it's mostly software which leads to some questions.
    Your 10pro is brand new and not even released outside China so what software will we get? And maybe 9pro will get it as well. So although your test looks solid and for sure was a lot of work, I wonder about its worth. I hope you'll do another comparison in a few months again but fear that 10pros advantage may be eliminated by then plus of course it still will have the worse ultra wide. So I'm a little disappointed of 1+ this year.

    I don't think the upgrade is justified. Everyone can make post-shot editing and tweak the color balance. I don't think OP will tweak the OP 9 Pro image quality to the same degree of the OP 10 Pro, because that would not help to sell the new phone...
    Not impressed. It's almost the same hardware as last here, c'mon...

    • @ReinoldFZ
      @ReinoldFZ 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      That's true. With smartphones meant for enthusiasts in photography is common that a photo will be edited. I have a Samsung S20 fe and I made a basic lightroom mobile preset to have skies more to my taste. And in this case some of the photos by the oneplus 10 pro look precisely made flat to edit them afterwards.

    I've been saying pretty much everything you have said for ( almost ) the last two weeks, since I've had the OnePlus 10 Pro ( I also have the 9 Pro too ) Personally, I think it's a fantastic device. Could it be called an upgrade? Well that depends on what the buyer expects from a one year jump, but I can say battery life has been absolutely fantastic for me, especially as the days passed. And RAM management, heat management are both improved.

    Thanks Danny first video of oneplus 10 pro i clearly see improvment in camera performance colors are more natural i like so much. For me Ultrawide is a downgrade imx766 to jn1 come on oneplus what a joke¡¡¡. Oneplus could make a true flagship killer and don"t do it. Maybe a oneplus 10 pro with two sensor imx789 for main and imx766 for ultrawide and thats it no need more. Oneplus 10 pro could continue tonuse the same sensors of oneplus 9 pro. These year i got dissapointed the same case with xiaomi 12 pro it's not a pro more like xiaomi 11s 😑😑😑😑😑. Samsung and vivo have easy these year, i think samsung s22 series destroy oneplus a xiaomi. Vivo make things better every year i espected so much for vivo. Thanks and best regards.

    So basically OnePLus is showing the middle finger to OP9 Pro owners. Showing off what they can do with the sensor, but never giving them the software, because otherwise nobody would buy the OP10. They clearly don't need a completely new phone to fix the magenta tint.

    Lo que hiceron con el 10 pro fue quitarle más color para detallar mejor la imagen en el zoom y no se viera sin detalle fotos mejor realista

    you put the wide angle information wrong, the 9 pro is the one with the 50 megapixel sensor and it is slightly higher than the 48 of the 10 pro since it is not the same sony that gives better results. there was a downgrade in the wide angle of the 10 pro

    I'll bet this is after the Android 12 update as the OnePlus 9 pro camera was better before the Android 12 update
