- Here is the biggest camera comparison of the year so far! The OnePlus 9 Pro vs iPhone 12 Pro Max vs Galaxy S21 Ultra is the most requested for sure. I wanted to do a dedicated OnePlus 9 Pro vs Galaxy S21 Ultra Camera video but instead of making a OnePlus 9 Pro vs iPhone 12 Pro Max Camera video as well I just did a triple camera comparison to make it easier to watch. It needs work on video though... Kinda sucks cause S21U has great camera but social media isn’t optimized and will ruin its quality.

I'm impressed by the front facing camera on the S21 Ultra, it completely outclassed the other phones in that department.
Defienetly s21 ultra wins, 12pro max and 9 pro in some points one is above other but still both are amazing.
Best camera comparisons! I'm a Samsung fan and will stick to them, but it's interesting to see what other devices offer.
Honesty but with the brain... So rare comment 😂 I'm actually Huawei fan and I don't mind Google services but this time I'm going with S21 ultra... That design and really the one UI flexibility blown me away.... I prefer Kirin because they don't overheating and battery life is amazing but ultra fixed some things with exynos this time and packs monstrous battery so I won't worry for sure 😃

Stepped up in front of the previous One Plus model: yes. For the rest is still behind the competition. Hasselblad collaboration was just an aggressive marketing with bad results!

By far the most detailed camera comparison I've watched! Though it did not live up to the hype, but considering that it's trading blows with the top dawgs, I'm getting the OP9Pro. Nothing fixing in post can't do, thanks for this awesome video Danny 🙏
I agree. I edit most of my keeper photos in Snapseed anyway. I think for me, coming from the LG G8, just having the extra dynamic range and detail will be shocking.
As long as black isn’t crushed too much. Might also be worth the _Hassel_ of using manual/RAW mode

The OnePlus 9 Pro camera has lots of potential, which I believe with future updates will get better. And when it comes to choosing between the three, I would choose the S21 Ultra for sure.
This one, I was waiting for it...
Stoked for next years 10 Pro and OnePlus x Hasselblad since there will be actual camera upgrades like Bionic optics and not just color balance and Pro Mode tune. But at this point 9 Pro really needs to push updates as I understand it is still on pre-release software/firmware. 120hz Adaptive mode needs work as at this point it basically does nothing, it mostly stays in 120hz and sometimes drops to 60hz, does not want to go lower to save battery. Also camera software really needs work, main camera really oversharpen and crush shadows, and in general lacks color consistency and faster, more consistent shutter speed to avoid blurring. Also main camera digitally crops to 2X in video instead of using telephoto camera like 8 Pro, so 8 Pro have way better zoom in video at this point and in general 8 Pro 3X seem to have way better detail/quality compared to 3.3X on 9 Pro when shooting far of objects, hopefully it is not permanent and will be fixed.
I’ve been Apple all my cellphone life but just recently switched from the XS Max to the S21 Ultra and am super excited to try something new for awhile. 90% of the time I was choosing the s21 photos and the other handful went to the 12. I guess it really depends how much you edit your photos, and how you want the base photo to look. Thank you for this!!

S21 Ultra is the perfect choice for me. This time samsung nailed it🥰🥰😍.. dynamic range, skintone, colors, macro is the best on S21U but the ultrawide is not too bad..
The improvements Oneplus is doing for the camera with two updates just after the launch in a very short time is impressive. It shows that they are really into it to make it better this time with 9 series. Hope they do it with older phones. Please make another one after few days to see whats improved!
Truthfully neither phone was priced at $1,000 at launch compared to the 9 pro. Both phones have had software updates, for a couple months. 9 pro has had 1 update. Op holds its own considering the launch price of Apple and Samsung phones.

This is one of the best explanations of the differences between the cameras that I've seen so far. To be honest, I've always felt that the iPhones had very capable cameras with very intelligent software, but that it was never for the purist/photographer. iPhone has always had a surreal, HDR look that has never appealed to me. Samsung, in my experience goes the other way and the photos are often too saturated. That being said, Samsung's "look" seems to be the most consistent here. Consistency is the drawback to "computational photography" I think. All in all, I'm very impressed with OnePlus and I think the upcoming devices are going to be outstanding! Truly, all the cameras shown here are phenomenal shooters!
I think I would go with iPhone cause of color accuracy and consistency. Also video and portrait it does better. But competition is rough here!

Just got a software update for my OnePlus 9 pro in the US, the camera update fixes a lot of the problems, camera's a beast. Liking it more than my S21 Ultra

Oneplus has a lot going for it in the overall package
the charging, the smooth oxygen OS, great Android updates, screen refresh rate optimizing and fastest wireless charger... makes it an amazing complete package

9 Pro is kind of different bracket in terms of retail price range, 9 Pro is 300 Euros cheaper compared to 12 Pro Max and S21 Ultra when talking about 256GB variants.
Agreed OnePlus is still a value in the flagship space but it’s really close now. The Ultra is $999 now in the US and besides storage the iPhone 12 Pro Max is also close in pricing so I think before when Oneplus really undercut the market compromises were overlooked because of that.
You are wrong. Oneplus never changes the prices, while samsung always has discounts. I paid for my s21 ultra with 256 gb (980 eur) less than i would pay for a OP 9 pro. No buy back, just paid for it straight off. Op just isnt worth it anymore since op7.
@@livolas it all depends on where you live i guess. Here in the Netherlands the S21 Ultra is still almost 300 euros more expensive then the 9pro. And lucky bastards as we are, we get the exynos version. With that in mind i think Oneplus is doing really well and the price is acceptable. If you can get the S21 for almost the same price then it's a total different story.

I will for sure. People are complaining that the Mi 11 Ultra doesn’t have camera software fixes yet so it might be a while until Xiaomi pushes out an update for me to get to that video.

Thanks for the suggestion. I figure people can pause whenever they want to so I try to provide as many examples as possible. It would be way easier to take less photos so I can go this route for sure.

Amazing comparison! But what mode was the night time video shot on? Damn samsung was struggling there (otherwise my favorite on most of the shots). Could you do nightime video shots again after the updates?
In my humble opinion using Hasselblad has improved the cameras but compared to the 🍎& Ultra, 3rd place? But nothing wrong with a top 3 camera. If I'm going to spend a g-whizz, the Ultra is for me? DEX & S-pen win the day for me. Choice is a wonderful thing!

TLDR; Some OnePlus shots are too overwxposed and some look artificial. iPhone is well balanced and looks more natural while Samsung goes neck and neck with the iPhone the only real advantage is the better quality when really zooming in.

Samsung has it between accurate colors and overall camera quality (which would be appreciated by many people), but as Danny said it, its all upto ur preferences...

Best ever review Man! Imo the night shot results between s21 and 9 pro would be different when compared to exynos variant of the s21 uktra. The oneplus would prolly have an upper hand in this case.

All three are relatively excellent. My most consistent complain with iPhone photos is the extreme contrast that means most shadow detail gets lost.
Do a comparison after de samsung s21 ultra update which uses 3x telephoto for portrait and improves lowlight video!

i'm pretty sure in low light video (not night scape) one plus is sharper and has more detail with "okay" highlight control
Fyi I'm pretty sure the iPhone isn't actually using the 2.5x lens at night. It just crops the main lens when the light starts to drop. You can see this in action by covering the 2.5x lens with your finger, yet you'll still be able to see the picture being taken.
