Very cool collection, love seeing and hearing about these bikes. My dad was born in 1923 and had a 1929 Indian in prep school while attending Villa Nova. He sold it when it went off to the war. He always talked about that bike.
There will be some once-in-a-lifetime motorcycles on the auction block at the Las Vegas Auction. It's worth the price of admission just to see these rare creatures, probably the only chance left to see them together.
Good video. It's too bad that many bike and car collections are being broken up and sold the last few years. The owners are getting older and unfortunately we will rarely see these type of collections amassed again.
Cool stuff. I think I saw LA Nik get a tour of this guys collection in one of his videos. He was with Barry Weiss I think. I don't remember Urban being there. I'll have to go back and rewatch that video.
Not judging, only curious…How did this gentleman earn his living. Even if he started early, this is a very valuable collection, and appears to be housed in grand style!
Urban's stepfather, Mel Pfaelzer, had founded Bowers Printing Ink Co., in Chicago, in the 1930s. Around 1967, he started Bowers Printing Ink Co. of California, in Hawthorne, CA. Urban's title from the get-go was vice-president & technical director. He was collecting antique motorcycles then. When that company got bought by Mallinckrodt Chemical, around 1974, Urban and the other vice-president, Marty Paul, each signed five-year contracts. Urban left shortly after his contract expired to start his own ink company, Ink Systems, in Commerce, CA. They have hundreds of employees.
@@shudderbug My dad and I had run Machine Shop Business on 139th street Hawthorne Ca… Marilyn Monroe grew up on 134th street so Bower’s printing company sounded familiar? Marilyn Monroe posed many pictures for Playboy magazine lots of printed copies right there.
I used to ride out to The Rock Store many times on my 1932 VL Big Twin… Hey T shirt says Sherman Oaks that is where my ex girlfriend lives. Very nice antique collection great value! 🙌
I could listen to these gentlemen all day .

Best 11:11 I’ve ever seen. Absolutely loved this and I could talk bikes for days with you 3. Awesome.
Lots of wisdom expressed here.
