I like your solution. However, I use a ProClip that attaches to the molding to the right of the cubby. On that ProClip I added one of those MagSafe chargers. I run the USB 3.0 cable for iPhone 15 Pro Max along the right side of the center console fastened with some black gaff tape and plug the USB end to a thin profile USB lighter adapter. For the Wireless Apple CarPlay I use a Calinkit 5.0 dongle connected to the USB port in the cubby. It works like a charm.
I found I didn't have to remove the connector to the parking brake - just fold the whole console panel over to the front left seat, and do your work sitting in the front right.
They work pretty good. Charges pretty fast. It never smelt like burning plastic. Sometimes when you are driving on a bumpy road, it will get disconnected and then connected as the phone moves around a bit.
Couldn't have done it without your help. Thanks!
Thank you! Your comment helps a lot!

Yeah! The charger still works. I just decided to remove it as I don't use it often.
@@kevinshin07 why not just leave it in? what was better about going back to normal?
I have the same question haha
@allanerik6352 still works great!
@@kevinshin07 didn’t you remove?
Does these chargers charge good? Or they heat a lot, smell like burning plastic and don't charge enough?
