I was challenged by a 9 ft. Lemon Shark in the pass south of Water Cay a few years ago. I hadn't shot a fish yet. The shark swam directly towards me and I fended it off with my spear. You guys probably know Brendel the Divemaster in Green Turtle Cay Abacos. He thinks these behaviors are territorial. The sharks mouth was closed but it swam in fast. If you talk to the fisherman from Long Island who are in the Jumentos setting fish traps they have some good stories. You might consider having one person as the designated shooter and the other as the guard/security. Have fun guys, wish I was there. Thanks for the great videos. I met you guys in Green Turtle when you were on Adrenaline. John O S/V Merlin
This was a real good video! The reason I like it was you guys seemed so laid back! It was relaxing to watch both of you fishing and then sharing duties - one of you cleaning the fish and the other one cooking!
What an amazing trio! I've been watching your adventures for years now. Thank you so much, Billy, Sierra, and of course Jetty, for the excellent content, amazing editing, and entertainment!
You guys are living the dream ... I built a 42' custom design FRP Tri many years ago. I did some costal cruising but never made the circumnavigation it was built for. It became essentially my Grad school project and that project gave the the confidence to try and or do anything in life. She is still sailing 47 years later but sadly without me. There aren't many Sierra's in this world Billy but I'm sure you know that. I found a wonderful woman prone to seasickness with a strong career focus. Your channel makes me wonder what might have been ... but no regrets.
Small fish or fish tails, or sea shells, sand dollars etc. from your beach walk with Jeddy, printed on t-shirts would make special gifts for your friends and family. Bahamas 2024. Thanks for releasing that beautiful grouper. He will grow up to be a smarter fish.
They’re not that aggressive, no blood or thrashing fish. They’re like labradors, they need the crunchy sounds and yummy noises. A smell brings them around, but we don’t taste good to them.
Just doing some quick research on Google, although it is possible that you saw a Great white it is more likely that it was a Bull Shark. Possibly even more scary as they are more aggressive than Great Whites. Bull sharks are a light grey to grey-brown and fade down to white belly, they only grow to about 12 feet and are fatter (I couldn't think of a better word), the top of their tail is much longer than the bottom of the tail fin. Bull sharks like shallow waters. They are common in the Bahamas. Great Whites are in the Bahamas but prefer deeper waters and tend to be found on the more unprotected ocean side of the islands (outside) in the deep waters. They are a more distinct gray, and the line between the white belly and the gray is abrupt. Their tails are more balanced or even in length top and bottom. They can grow up to 20 feet in size and I guess you would say a bit more sleek and not as bulky as the bull shark. Okay now that I said all of that, it is not impossible that it was a great white, but more likely a bull shark, and either way, they are both not sharks you want to be swimming with. Great job in the Fishing! Sierra was rocking the fishing today. Don't worry Billy, your turn will come and you will be a rockstar fisher!
I was thinking the exact same thing and came here to comment. I’d be more cautious around bull sharks for sure. Glad y’all got out of there and switched spots.
Have you thought about attaching a clip/carabiner to your spear tip cork/cover. Then clipping it onto the side handles of your dinghy once you’re in the water. That way it’s simple to grab while in the water and you can cover the spear before entering the dinghy. That way no one accidentally stabs the dinghy again.
If you like those ice packs try using a half gallon orange juice jug and filling it 3/4 full of water and freezing it. Only fill it 3/4 of the way because the water will expand when it freezes. Can also use 20oz soda bottles.
Hey I just want to say I love you too especially you Ciara and Jetty and I've been watching you guys forever thank you for letting me live a little bit vicariously through you guys
Sierra is a real keeper and an all around fisherwoman! She speared the most fish, lobster and climbed the tree for Coconuts! If you haven't yet you had better put a ring on her! She is keeping you alive! Lol
I live up here in the mountains in Tennessee life looks amazing. I really hope y’all stay safe and enjoy life as much as possible. I’m a new prescriber and I really like the content.
excellent videos you guys! Did a good job as always I got Apple Vision Pro and I put a nice ocean setting😢 in the background and filled my entire area with your video. It was awesome. Felt like I was there and wanted to jump in the dinghy with you, thanks again
Travis...first time I seen you sailing, I taught you were going to drown!!😂But you came a long way! You managed to take on many problems and solve them. For sure I never thought that you would be sailing across a ocean. But you did it, my hat goes off to you and your beautiful lady! Very proud of you both. The table project was a excellent idea and a great job! Stay safe my friends! From the east coast of Canada 🇨🇦 😎
Oceanic White Tip. Large animals that prefer open deep water but often come onto the ledge of open shallows. Looks like a great white but humped over like a bull. Not common but they are out there in the out islands and even near places like north side of Eleuthera.
Trigger fish are easy to clean. Take your fillet knife and use the tip to cut the skin allthe way around the edge of the skin you want removed. Then grab an edge of the skin and just with a firm pull, pull the skin right off the fillet. Then simply cut the skinless fillet off the bone. I wish I had a video showing you this. Trigger fish are great to eat. The meat is firm yet flaky. Good on the grill as well as fried. Great video. Billy, you just need to bait Sierras hook for her. She has the shining.
I couldn't wait to hit the "Like" button on this one. About the shark; Tigers have a very square snouts and stripes, Great Whites have very pointed snouts and no stripes.
Love seeing you guys having fun out there. I caught sight of you during your CLC build time. When might that craft find its way onto your Seawind? To be young and able as you both are! I guess I’ll stick to blasting around on local waters with my 14’ board boat until my knees can’t take it anymore! Cheers!
Love the lionfish they taste great, saw a couple larger ones this last time down in the Bahamas but not too many where we dove (a positive and a negative because they are delicious hahah)
Billy and Sierra, just so you guys know, getting medium fish is actually better for fish stocks than to getting large fish, since larger fish reproduce exponentially better.
You guys did an amazing job with the fish prints! I really can't wait for the shirts. I missed the live but I hope you do more of this long form live. I love the sounds. Newer Subscriber Would you guys consider selling the original prints?
Love seeing Sierra taking the time to take in the moment of swimming with a great white. And Billy is always supportive and listens to her!

A day in the life... Perfect... Love the skull island with palm trees...
What a wonderful day. I understand your tiredness. The sun, swimming, diving, and being on the water takes it out of you. Thanks for sharing. 🎣
Sierra’s wii ing the fish ing derby for sure. She’s a keeper!
This was a real good video! The reason I like it was you guys seemed so laid back! It was relaxing to watch both of you fishing and then sharing duties - one of you cleaning the fish and the other one cooking!
Love you guys!! Sierra is killing it!
Jetty Loves The Beach
The fish print looks great
Tip- save lobster carapace and legs. Crunch them up for chum. Sinks to bottom well and dogfish love them
Do I see another addition to the Tula Shop? Fish Prints by Tula. Good video guys. Keep the good stuff coming.
Billy, even if the lionfish are too small, take them. Just throw them away later or use as chum or whatever.
Also, Sierra is one hell of a huntress.
What an amazing trio! I've been watching your adventures for years now. Thank you so much, Billy, Sierra, and of course Jetty, for the excellent content, amazing editing, and entertainment!
I have been watchin y'all for years
Good to see you finally learned how to fish, but now work on your fish identifyin skill
Great video as always 👍
Love you guys! I laughed when Billy said, "I just keep saying (fish) names . . . . " He sure does.😊 Those fish prints were very cool! Safe travels ❤

Now thats an Epic day. All my favorite things. Hog fish, lobster, lion fish all in my favorite place the Bahamas. Great video guys.
Such the life, great vid guys.
You should be fishing with polarized sunglasses so you can see into the water a little easier. Good for eye protection too.
Thanks for bringing us out there with you! The content you make is absolutely beautiful. I’ll be rocking your black hoodie soon. Stay safe out there!
You both are talking about a big shark with Sierra's legs hanging over the side of the dingy! Think I'd call it a day! Be aware Billy and Sierra!
I was thinking the same thing.

That bay looks so peaceful and quiet. Totally jealous. It was snowing here yesterday in Colorado Springs.
Thanks looks like you had a great day. Sierra is a great fisher.
Beautiful location…….the definition of living ! 👍😎.
New to your channel . So nice to see actual living, fishing , cooking , printing rather than the other channels always fixing engines etc .

When we lived on the Oregon Coast we had Neptune night. One of the items included fish printing. It was always a success.
Y’all are livin’ a dream.
Great White!!! Yikes! Could it have been a Bullshark !!! Double YIKES !

Thanks guys, You are living the dream. GO JETTY GIRL.👍🏻❤️🐾🍖
I do believe that’s the coolest thing I’ve ever seen

That was an interesting video. Essentially about fishing. Others don’t seem to fish that much
Hey I just want to say I love you too especially you Ciara and Jetty and I've been watching you guys forever thank you for letting me live a little bit vicariously through you guys

Great video. Love the fishing in the sun on the dingy.
I feel like you could buy or make holders for the spears that mount long ways on top of the ribs. Had a great time fishing with y'all 😀.

Hogfish are the best!!
Tip for cleaning the turbot. Just filet the meat off the sides and discard the rest, it’s faster by hours😂. Cheers
The fish prints were really nice and very interesting
I think the fish prints look cool from the backside too.
That must be the life, so I’ll see cool, Y’all seem so free
Great fishing guys

Amazing
1 liter plastic bottles filled a couple inches from the top with water and frozen make cheap ice packs when in need!
Great day on water, great catches Sierra. Too bad you catch that shark on film. Would have been a great way to identify it.
The fish print would make a cool flag.
Billy and Sierra, just so you guys know, getting medium fish is actually better for fish stocks than to getting large fish, since larger fish reproduce exponentially better.
You people have a great grocery store!
A peaceful day at sea
What are your go to apps when traveling/ sailing? To check the wind? Weather radar? For plotting your course? Or even to check the other boats around?
