i have a question. What r the disadvantages if u directly start from st3 ..and finishing your mrcp from home..of course clearing all of the criteria..should a fresh mbbs graduate approach that? i m looking forward to the answer. love from Bangladesh

There's no real disadvantage, but you may find it difficult to get your alternative core competencies signed in order to apply for ST3.

@@RoadToUK Is it also possible that doing mrcp from home will hamper the chances of getting into a competetive speciality? as there r already many uk doctors doing their core training there?.. Thanks for ur reply

How much money does he makes, being at the highest level of medical achievement one can get in UK.? A better realistic number apart from the general basic salary. How much he can make a year? What opportunities are available to make more money from the basic consultant salary? I might sound rude or materialistic asking about this, but down the line if I am planning to move to UK to become a consultant I want to know what will my life look like after 8-10 years of training as an IMG. Please reply. Thank you 🙏🏻

Firstly, here is the general breakdown: th-cam.com/video/MT52s6GNNE8/w-d-xo.html
Secondly, the pay varies heavily beyond this as with experience, pay increases, and it can also increase for certain acheivements/degrees. Another thing you need to keep in mind is that you still have the opportunity to do extra posts (locum), the rate for which varies from hospital to hospital. To give you a rough idea of how much more it could be per hour, as a CT1 grade, we get paid £50/hour for locum shifts.
