Something similar here and cheaper. (Infuriating how expensive adaptive equipment and such can unnecessarily be). I'll use a bungee cord with hooks at both ends. One end is attached around back to my frame where the handle bars are. The other end I bring around to my lap when needed. I can attach shopping baskets, backpacks or mostly whatever to carry a load of weight, leaves my lap open and pressure off my thighs. If the cord stretches too much, it can also indicate I'm carrying too much weight for the specs of my manual WC. Hope this may help others who may not want to spend a lot. Have a blessed day...
@@clairerusz2639 I hear your frustration and understand that for some LapStacker is too much for their budget. On the face of it, LapStacker is simple, but underneath it all is 5 years of expensive research and development and significant costs to produce a world-first and high-production quality innovation. After all, disabled people deserve high-quality products too right? LapStacker was designed as affordably as it could be while still being commercially viable. There are some cheaper alternatives you may like to consider. You could try a range of different bungee cords (shock cord, elastic cord), which you’ll need to attach each time you secure a load. Caution is needed though, as they can be quite dangerous and difficult to use, plus you may need a range of sizes to carry everything. You could try and make your own using seat belt mechanisms and devise a way to attach it to your chair. Or you could try a purse strap. Backpacks are also a way to carry things. Hope those suggestions help.
The lap stacker looks great. Would like to see it with a netting system so you can hold multiple items on your lap. It would make all the difference when shopping etc.
What I find, as a powerchair user, is that tables are never high to accommodate the powerchair - usually higher than a manual wheelchair because of the batteries. Great vid as always :)
Yes this! I always end up kind of wedged in still about 4” from the table, the table top being at the level of my lap and that’s even if I can get close to the table at all. I dislike and avoid eating out because of this.
My manual chair barely fits under most tables. I am ambulatory as well so my chair isn't as low as my friends who use theirs all day every day. It's so annoying having to lean forward to eat or sit sideways.
So true! I just back up enough to place a napkin on my lap and then place the plate on my lap and if people don't like it too bad that's how I like to eat😊

I actually use a bungee cord net that was meant for motorbikes underneath my wheelchair seat for stowing things. It's great for things like coats, bags etc.

Just checked the pricing out of curiosity- YIKES. It looks lovely and clean but much too pricey for me. $140 with shipping and taxes. To be fair, I'm not the intended audience- I use a rollator. My method for keeping shopping in place on my rollator's seat is a system of MODL Infinity Tools (also pricey, but extremely versatile and imo very worth the price). Essentially, fancy bungee cords, but in my case they go across at about thigh-height to keep things from sliding backwards off the seat when going up an incline, rather than strapping things down by applying downward pressure. For something more like the lap stacker, I would probably use wide elastic straps or maybe some cinched-down paracord.
I have a crossbody purse that I either put in the shopping basket so it stays in my lap. Or, I just stack everything behind the purse on my lap if I'm not getting much. I find those options work best for me

How long is the code active for?
0:39 watching you latch onto the batec "Oh wow! How easy is that?" impressed with how quick and easy it looks. Is it heavy?
Hi there. It’s honestly the best thing ever and has changed my life. Check my recent video here th-cam.com/video/3OeLOV5CtnI/w-d-xo.html it’s a full review on the batec. Enjoy 💎
How did you go about getting that power system device for your chair and is it compatible with all Manual wheelchairs or just certain chairs
I think she made a video about it when she first got it - it's called Batec if you want to search for it.
wednesday 15th may, 5 pm. Full video on the power attachment. I hope to see you then. :)
Is this available in North America?
Did the loo door have a closer on it ? They should not!
i just bought a gym bag that i can throw over my shoulder to hold it on my lap.
I wonder if that could be fitted on your stair lift too for carrying things upstairs.
I don’t see why not. That’s a good idea. I have a seat belt on my stairlift so sometimes use that.
❤
The only problem with that it won,t work for everyone
I've had the lap stacker bookmarked for a year or more but it's so expensive for what it is. Maybe for a Christmas present or something. It would be so useful. Things on my lap is like my number one problem, haha
Ah yeah it is pricy. But so handy if you can make the investment.
Do all English speaking countries use destructions as slang for instructions or is it just us Aussies?
That is a good question, as I’d never heard anyone say that before I met Shaun. 🤔
I think it is a Shawn invention!
My family have used the word destructions for years normally because when the flat pack is assembled there are bits are left over at the end which shouldn’t! 😮
I'd never heard it either. Haha It's a good term. (Mike)
I'm always saying destructions 😂
Love the idea. This would be a game changer for me....but most people who would need it couldn't afford it :( It is $160 in Canada before shipping and tax.
@GraceReaume With Gem's code [ Gem ] shipping is free and because it is a wheelchair accessory it is duty-free. So far our customers in Canada are not paying any additional tax.
Your right ,It is a bit pricey , ploy of work has gone in to it though with quality materials and once you got it its there for good ,i think the shipping is free🤔 thanks for sharing , 🙂🙂
Don't think I could fit this on my electric wheelchair. I have a foldalite wheelchair which folds flat to fit in the boot of the car and there's no room underneath my seat when it's folded flat.
If you’re interested, email mike, he will check for you. ☺️
@@Wheelsnoheels that would be great! I'll do that, Thankyou ♥
@@Deecula On it.
Me encánta ver cómo disfrutas de la vida,.
So daisy's waist circumference is the same as her neck circumference?... wait what?
No hahahaha ni think it means it would be more like half , does that make sense 🤔
