      There is so much to learn about these animals that not many people understand. If you like Chris you should definitely check out gatorland vlogs. It's a really cool place in Florida with a great team of people. And also Dingo dinkelman. He is awesome as well.

      Right! Lol. I'm nowhere near gators or crocs so I'm safe, but ya no haha.
      I am very fascinated by them, and just amazed by the people who work with them it's amazing. But my thought is just not get in waters with them lol
      Unless it's a Casper tour. Or if I ever got the opportunity to do that cage thing in Australia. I might do that. Because that's a massive croc, and I would be in a cage that has protected lots of people.
      Same with Casper. That would just be an amazing experience. But no getting in any water with any living dinosaurs not in any situation. They jump lol

    Love this riveting video, so intelligently iterated. You voice relief I’ve felt/but couldn’t pinpoint for years with my domestic animals: With animals we must “walk the walk” + can’t hide behind our material influence and fakeness 16:29. Appreciating that doesn’t sound ‘insane’ Chris, your values/heart are simply in the right place! You’re a grounded/humble wise SMART inspiration + hero to us animal lovers everywhere. There are responsible handlers and then there are idiotic handlers like sticking your head in a crocodilians mouth when its open. I've seen a video of a guy doing this to a croc during the show, and i was like this isn't entertainment. This is just plain stupid and a catastrophe waiting to happen.

  • @Debra.Justice
    @Debra.Justice 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

    Chris, I love this video and the information you’re providing. I’ve always had the idea if I’m attacked by an animal it’s because I did something stupid. I’d never blame the animal. I actually had a guy tell me that humans are top of the food chain and are apex predators. I laughed so hard I was breathless. I understand you’re feeling about working with dangerous animals. I don’t really fear them, but I have a great deal of respect for their power, strength, and their ability to take me out in a matter of seconds. Most people think I’m crazy but I don’t care. I just love animals and fear people more than I do any animal. Give adorable Casper a hug and keep up the good work. And I love the progress you and Gabby are making on the sanctuary. Love from Tennessee.

    • @toscadonna
      @toscadonna 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      The armor would keep the gator from getting a hold of your flesh, but if it grabbed the armor and rolled, your joints would probably be torn despite not getting those teeth in your flesh.

    Your presentation reminds me of a trip to an alligator park somewhere near Weston Florida about 20 years. We rode on airboat ride to an island that had some alligators in a pond. There was an aliligator handler there speaking about the gators and how the water was cool so they were laid back. I was videotaping his presentation and I noticed he was missing several fingers on one hand. I yelled out, embarrassed for doing so, what happened to your hand?. He answered by saying one day he wasn't paying attention and stuck his hand in the water and it got bit. I then asked him....and you came back to work? He gave me a classic answer..."Hey you have to make a living"

    Hello and thank you for all the work you do!!! Ive been catching up on your videos a lot lately because I recently moved to a house in central FL on a big lake. We don't see gators daily but we do see them, especially during mating season. We have a dock to a boat and we sometimes see one hanging (small to med size) around the doc, tho very rarely. We want to swim but don't know if its safe. Do you recommend we stay out, or is there anything we can do to ensure, or at least highly decrease, our probability of any unwanted encounter? When I see them by the dock, I go out there and they swim away. I scaring them off a good idea? I know I am asking a lot and your knowledge is valuable so l'm also going to look into your crocodilian behavior course! TYSM

    Best Advice: Don't get your hours in from the same groups that trained Chandler.
    Imagine, seriously -take a moment, and think about jumping on an adult Cuban Crocodile in a murky pond with ZERO VISIBILITY.
    That video maybe the biggest "L" in exotic wildlife keeping that exists.
    We have a professor at the college I work with highlight that video for his students. As well as taking a venomous bite in India, using up over 20+ vials of anti-venom that could've gone to a poor native, and proceeds to return to the states to MAKE FUN of the Dr.s in India that treated him.
    I will continue to point out who the biggest threats are to the hobby, and several are in Florida.
    Chandler even went out of his way to make a CLOWN video where he struggled to use safe handling protocols.
    Lastly, before anyone argues, there are over 50 ACCREDITED zoological facilities in the US with the EXACT same species that Chandler and Tyler own, and they don't have the problems that Chandler and Tyler have had.
    It's embarassing. 🧐

    • @toscadonna
      @toscadonna 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I actually worry about Chandler. He seems to have a death wish. He didn’t continue the good training Chris was doing with Aries and Miss Toothy. They’re back acting super wild, and it scares me. I hoped the Miss Toothy bite and the snake bite that cost him part of his finger might have calmed him down? Made him be more careful and safe? 😢

    So, we’re supposed to ignore the fact that George is a dime piece, huh?

  • @robertsole9970
    @robertsole9970 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Yes! I saw where Chandler needed 24 vials of cobra anti venom when he got bit in India and still has heart issues right now, months later from the venom. The world is not a Disney ride, up in the BWCA in Mn, there is no off button, no ride attendant to save you if you do something dumb. I was hiking once in the deep woods up there, heard a squeal or squeak, then jaw chomping and huffing…I had in-verdantly made a baby bear go up a tree, the mom was mad and chomping at me…so I slowly backed out and made noise with a stick. I looked at a birch tree next to me and it had claw marks on it, right about head height. I didn’t get bit because I watched a few TH-cam videos about bear behavior, and knew not to panic or run. Went to town and had a beer after that. So yes, know your environment and know what’s in it, and what to do if you run across it
