This is the first video on this channel and the first voiceover! Please give me your feedback and suggestions for future uploads. There is WAY more to come :)

When I saw this in German, I used subtitles (my Herman is very rusty). I like this voiceover version. The relative volume of background German & narrated English is just right. And the English narration is very fluent and expressive, so it’s very easy to listen to.

Great job! You've started with a bike I've been keen to purchase for long time! I ended up buying a Brompton tho. I love it but I still keep my eyes on the Vello+ and maybe one day I'll get my hands on one!

I like the Vello very much! I've emailed them several times, however, and I have not received a reply. That's scary considering I'm in the U.S. Also, the titanium frame is amazing but why is the rear triangle and forks made from steel? The rear triangle and forks should be made from titanium also. There doesn't seem to be an 11 speed chain drive flat bar bike either. The bike is promising. From what I hear, Brompton is working on a 20" inch wheel folding bike too. Once they come out with it, Vello won't have a chance. Vello must innovate now to stay ahead of the game. Their ebikes are great too but I don't know if the battery is UL Certified and if its legal in the U.S.

Fantastic video. I live in the United States and I am grateful for the English voiceover. I hope you do more videos from your channel in a similar way. I am quite interested in the Vello Alfine and I am curious if you think the bike would be suitable for bikepacking. I presume that two parallel steel tubes in the front portion of the frame would give the bike great strength. Do you think the bike could handle about 20-25 kg of cargo on front and rear racks? FYI: I weigh about 80 kg. Thanks very much. I look forward to more videos.

Hi, David. I got this from the Vello website about the Vello Alfine : “Maximum permissible weight: 125 kg/276 lbs.”
The front rack that vello sell (which can stay put on the bike as it folds) takes 10kg.
The downside is, both are pricier than standard bike racks.
With the front rack comes a mounting block that it clicks in and out of. It seems to be the same as for the Brompton. You can buy bags and other items from many retailers that will click directly onto this mounting block, and you can also buy the “shoe” fitting itself (or more elaborate bag-frame fittings) to convert any bag of box of your own to instant mount/demount.
The back rack can fold up over the folded bike, comes with an integrated read mudguard/fender, and takes 20kg.
So, 80kg + 25kg + the weight of the bike & racks, looks like you’re good.

If you are taller than around 185cm, vello also sell both a longer seatpost and a higher handlebar stem. Again, kinda pricey.

How is your left heel not hitting the magnet while pedaling? I have shoe size 46 and my heel hits it. Incredible design flaw on otherwise great bike. Also pedals are absolutely horrible quality, embarrassing to see them on high end bike like this.

Well, no. Folding bicycles are more complex in the development, need more expensive parts and are more expensive to manufacture than regular bicycles.
