  • Hello folks! Today I want to show you my new axe restoration project. My friend found this lost axe at own village and asked me if I can restore this axe? Sure, I said. Well, let's time to restore it.
    0:00 Review
    0:20 Lol
    0:42 Rust remover
    1:31 Metalworking
    2:55 Axe handle
    5:09 Gluing and handle processing
    5:47 Winding
    6:33 Axe leather sheath
    9:13 Final review
    9:39 Test
The handle of the axe fell off from the head of the axe itself, it was very funny. I cleaned the head of the axe as usual with rust remover. The condition of the axe head was good. I made little sanding and correct a shape of axe. Also, make bevels and sharpened it. In the final step, I polished the cutting edge of the axe.
The old handle was dirty. It was also wrapped in leather. I cleaned the handle, then put the leather in water for a few hours. After cleaning the handle, I put the leather in water with pva glue. And began winding the handle.
After I made new from leather sheath for axe. And as usual I made interesting axe test for you. I hope, you will enjoy this restoration video!
    Sincerely, Alex. Thanks for attention!
Good luck and health to everyone! With best wishes, Alex!

What a cool axe! I approve of your decision to re-use the original leather wrap on the handle but it might have looked better if you had dyed it befor putting it back on.
Always a pleasure to watch your work.

We should create a Screws and Tools drinking game! One sip every time this happens:
    - Kitty curtain
    - “Beep beep”
    - the tool is washed in the kitchen sink
    - the tool is washed in the utility shower
    - two part epoxy “fart”
    - wax/bock jar appears
    - Mr Screws and Tools marches in place showing off the newly restored tool
