This is so beautifully composed and honestly I’d rather listen to this version than the one with Ed Sheehan’s voice (the original). It’s just much more relaxing and filled with emotion. It gave me chills when I would close my eyes because it’s almost like the piano and the piano man were telling some moving story and my brain would just sort of empathize what every note would imply. This was truly one of the pianos guys’ best work. Good job this was a masterpiece 👍🏼👍🏼

My mother played. It makes me cry to her new songs played. My mom played by ear. So in the 80s what ever I sang she learned so we could make music together. I miss her so much.

This is so beautifully composed and honestly I’d rather listen to this version than the one with Ed Sheehan’s voice (the original). It’s just much more relaxing and filled with emotion. It gave me chills when I would close my eyes because it’s almost like the piano and the piano man were telling some moving story and my brain would just sort of empathize what every note would imply. This was truly one of the pianos guys’ best work. Good job this was a masterpiece 👍🏼👍🏼
I actually heard this before the Ed shearan version. I didn’t know any of the words or what the song was etc..... As much as i like the original, this is so much better.

Jon intentionally simplifies his playing and picks the best sounding melodies and embellishments.
I always loved that he doesn't over do it and "flex." He picks what's sweet to the ear. Some pianists forget that.

I heard some piano version of this song, but still I missed the feel of softness of piano. May be because of the background sound and all. But this is the one which gave me the feel of PERFECT.
