@@GrafsGarage3 When I was a kid growing up in Brooklyn, we would walk thru junkyards all the time , it was great , and in the 70,s junkyards were full of V W bugs , they were everywhere. As far as you could see , no one wanted them , just parts cars . Those were the days .
Another awesome roadtrip!! Not a fan of the Type 4 design and door options, but you can show me a type 3 ALL DAY, 😂!! OMGOSH.... and those BUSES!! Everything for everyone!! Loved the field trip, Alex!!
Should of mentioned that the Type 3 was the first car to be sold in North America with Electronic Fuel Injection in 1968. Bosch D Jetronic. Type 3s were available in Canada starting with their introduction in 1961 along with the notchback and coveted Type 34 Karmann Ghia, which were never offered stateside. Type 3s were not sold in the US until 1966.
