I find when I don't comb it daily I will have more shedding. I have a wooden pick that I keep saturated in coconut oil and I'll use that to pick my beard to avoid shedding or stripping of hair follicles. I also use a metal pick like the one you have when cowash or wanting to get more detangling of the beard
I'm Assyrian, I have a really thick ethnic beard, if I don't use a brush twice a day (African plastic one, wooden is too stiff for it) it gets really matted quickly and the next day I'll rip/shed more. I could never comb with my beard though, it just won't go through
Only comb when your beard is damp and after you apply your products. You can also detangle your beard in the shower when you have conditioner in it. I would also recommend our beard hydration mist it works as a detangler and a leave in
Awesome vid brother, although I am a white man with a gray straight beard, I still limit how many times a day that I comb my beard,2 times is it for me, my beard is close to 6" now. You have some of the best advice on the tube👍. Keep up the great work you do by explaining beard care tips, very helpful. Take care👍🙏.
I think I'm starting to realized that my beard will just be coarse on the sides no matter what. I've conditioned 4 days last week with oil after, in the morning. At night I grease and brush in. I haven't used s butter orb balm yet, which I've ordered and should be here in a couple days. Once it's here, I'll replace the grease
Some shedding is normal so the hairs have a whitish bulb at the end of so it’s shedding g if not it’s probably breakage. Drink water eat good keep your skin moisturized under your beard. I will do a video on this
But X, isn’t it a time where the hair has run it’s course? sometimes I look at the end of the hair and if it’s white, I never look at it as breakage and look at it as a really old hair..is that true?
No doubt fam some shedding is normal as long as it’s not excessive and you can tell if it’s a shed hair if it has a whitish bulb at the end of the hair if it doesn’t it’s probably breakage. Continued success 🙏🏾👊🏾
Depends on the length I would try to use a soft brush as far as combs or picks I like a good quality that wasn’t a mold that was put together and has a sharp seam in between each tooth. I did a video on it before I currently use a metal pick

I was that guy that combed/brushed his beard just cause. Now that I’m getting serious bout my beard I started doing as you suggested.
Great advice X. I wear a mask most of the day and it curls my beard more than ever before.
I usually do once in the morning, when I get home from work and then before I go to bed. Don’t know why, this is just my routine 😅😂

Appreciate the info. I’ve Definitely been the guy driving and combing for no reason!
I think I made this mistake but by brushing it too much. I was brushing it all day for like two weeks and some areas look thinner now.
I remember you mentioning this before. Ever since then I stopped excessively combing my beard lol 💪🏽💪🏽

Having a lot of issues with my sink having all this hair from combing or brushing. Can you give me any tips on preventing this?

My advice don't comb or brush your beard over the sink!

Amazing beard brother !
Thanks bro
Thanks for the advice X. But what are your thoughts on brushing? I find myself doing that sometimes after my routine as well as picking.
Brushing is cool and can be beneficial depending on your beard size and the brush you use. I brush my cheek line and mustache. Continued success 👊🏾
Thanks great info as usual.
ThAnks fam! Continued success on your journey 🙏🏾🙏🏾👊🏾
What about your beard shedding
Yo bro that cool what do u that about using a detangler brush?
I don’t use one. I use a soft brush for my cheek line but a pick for everything else . Thanks for watching family

Metal pick

Thanks bro 👊🏾

What type of combs and brushes are good for course curly beards?
Depends on the length I would try to use a soft brush as far as combs or picks I like a good quality that wasn’t a mold that was put together and has a sharp seam in between each tooth. I did a video on it before I currently use a metal pick
