If you do have a phase / time domain coherent filter (acoustic first order).... Wouldn't that fix those issues? But this comes with other challenges I reckon. An acoustic first order filter seems to be extremely complex with heaps of phase correction components 😮 And again, I believe that may kill the transparency and dynamics 🙃
