I live in Norther New Hampshire on the side of MT Washington... it get very cold here -30F for weeks if not colder never had a freeze problem with my many jet boats or jetskis.. this is the proper way to do it!!!
FYI I live near Vegas and it doesn’t get too cold here, so I don’t do the antifreeze flush or the silicone spray. Feel free to tell me thoughts on that :)
thanks for watching...yeah, you can skip the antifreeze... but I would still silicone spray... it will prevent corrosion from condensation and keep stuff moving if its supposed to move.
This is how the Yamaha owners manual says to fog the engine... my Honda aquatrax doesn't have the intakes like that so I do have to pull spark plugs to fog those engines
So is the pump necessary? This is my first time winterizing my Waverunner. I have always winterized my boat with gravity feeding the engine with antifreeze
I have done gravity feed before... it does work.. but im winterizing 4-5 jetskis and 3-4 Yamaha twin engine boats... when you are winterizing several $20k+ boats the $80 spent at homedepot on the pump is well worth the peace of mind when its -30F for weeks on end in january and febuary
well ive had a few of them... they are not the fastest skis out there by far , but they are nice running and riding skis way nicer than a seadoo spark...I like buying older low hours 4 stroke machines( mostly Yamaha and Honda)... with only 19 hours sounds like it has years of fun ahead...I would just check it over to make sure everything is working properly...

Why didn't he spray fogging oil into the cylinder by taking off the spark plugs?

And thanks so much for the video! I’ve been using it for a few years around this time of year ;)

I'm just wondering what was the purpose of doing that if you're gonna run it and rev all the stuff out?
the antifreeze is just used to displace any water in the system to prevent freezing.. it does not need to stay in the system
