I know you probably hear this all the time but you're freaking incredible and I can't tell you how much I appreciate the videos and information you provide. I've been able to successfully add a second income with your process and it's just amazing. Ive yet to come across a problem with headlights that you dont already have a video on. I just want to say thank you and keep doing what you're doing.
Wow man thank you I really appreciate it .. really appreciate your viewing and glad that you're getting it down and you never know that second income might turn into your actual income one day... It's very likely that it will...💯👍🏽
Very timely episode HRP....my daughter has that exact car and I will be checking on it as I suspect this degradation is happening on her car as well. Super instruction regarding the yellowing on the horizontal shelf of the lens. Top notch as always.
Thank You...I learned soo much from this video. When I tried doing my first restoration a few years ago I had no idea what I was doing. I was too scare to take off any material thinking I would leave permanant scratches. Now I know you have to grind the $hit out of that top layer off with a p400 and p500 first without water. Then slowing start polishing and gradually start removing the scratches that were made from the abrasive pads. Again thank you soo much for this video. 👍
Remind me of my uncle with all the little old school snippets and comments. Been doing my own headlight restoration and I have a similair process with meguires headlight coating. You have some good tips I didn't think of. Glass IMO are the best headlights as they never fade but unfortunately its glass
I just started implementing your system and using the products you recommend. I notice the longest part for me is masking off around the lights and using an old credit card. Is there a faster way? Thank you for all your videos and the fine work you do
Well there's no really any faster way to do it you just have to get used to doing it and keep testing yourself with different ways to do it which work for you which make it faster it's a pain in the ass and sometimes I hate doing it cuz I want to get to the headlight but it is probably the most important thing... I have about two or three videos that have to do with taping off and I'll show you the proper way to do so and believe it or not you can actually get pretty fast at it..... It typically takes me about 5 minutes of light to tap off even the hard ones...👍🏽🤓
Dang! Tesla! had that thought today.. I am in socal and every tesla seems to have clear headlights!. was just gonna ask you what's going on (model S came out in 2012!) I thought of this cause i there's an old S model out front that is starting to yellow on the top section. Never seen this before. was gonna ask what your method would be for tesla headlights. keep us posted sir!. p.s. saw that same permanent stress top damage on a 07 BMW 3 series. couldn't figure out what was but you just solved it for me! You're the best! 😇
Perfect as always.I have one question.I know that the ceramic coats have a thickness around 0,5 microns when aplyied.Have you ever measured the thickness of the meguiars spray coat? Im sure that is more especially with your heavy coat but how mutch?
No I don't have the equipment to measure that and most people won't understand the laboratory to measure something that small blood from touch and feel it's got to be like 10 times more with my method if not more than that.. ceramic dries thin as thin can get probably even thinner than wax... When you're using an actual coating especially in the matter that I use it one heavy coat it's actually very thick..
Gorgeous work as always, question sir: Can you substitute the 3M hard plastic cleaner with the Meguiar's PLASTX on the 6th step? Thank for the expert tutorials!
Perfect. I have upped my game thanks to your advice. Thanks. Question: would you suggest, or have you ever used, a 1000 trizac between the 800 and 3000? 🇨🇦
Yes I have it's almost absolutely useless... The only thing it would do is help your 3,000 work less but you would be paying out the ass this way.. this method is the most cost-effective method where if you buy them bulk it'll cost you less than a McDonald's cheeseburger to do a whole other restoration...
Hi Mr Pro - I see you do not use water with each sanding disk ?? - you only use water with the P3000. The kits I have seen say use water with each disk. Do you not run the risk of heat damage to the headlight? please advise O Great One
Try a 2015-2017 Ford Transit- WTF did Ford coat their headlights with? I could only get the areas that were yellowed to sand,,the bottom portion wouldn’t sand ,,i tried a P320 also. Headlight came out excellent tho!! Just wish all of it would have sanded out.
Question: If you're sanding with 800 and you notice scratches in one area, you drop down to 500, or even 320 if 500 didn't get them, and then work your way back up to 800, 3000, and then polish, correct?

Yeah glass will never fade but it will break all the time... Polycarbonate is 250 times stronger than glass...👍🏽💯

For the profesional this guy is master and business don’t play is best ❤
Hell yeah brotha thank you 💯😁
Great vids dude👍👍👍 always get a laugh with the .pop ups...how long does the can of spray last?
Typically these cans last about 3 to 5 vehicles depending on how big of the lights you've been doing...
I’m here giving a like before watching the video because I know is going to be a good video 😎
Hey much appreciated...💯😁
Love the humor bro, “girly car” “I would restore headlights on the moon if I could.” 🤣👍🏼🇺🇸🧂
Just trying to keep it interesting thank you for noticing..
Appreciate you viewing..👍🏽
Another great video 👏🏻 , i was wandering when will the PPF explaining video will be ready?
Not sure probably when I have to remove one again.. PPF IS TRASH...🤣🤣🤣
@@theheadlightrestorationpro ah i get it , i saw another comment about PPF and you answered it , thanks mate 👋🏼

Nice work. Love the NWO reference. 💯👊🏻
Haha yeah I just incorporate things that I like and entertainment....💯👍🏽
when you use the 3000 pad what do you spray on the headlight
Hi pal do u wash the 3m pad after every headlight restoration or not?
You will never ever wash them it'll just ruin them.. they are self-surfacing or resurfacing shall I say..
Yes some lights get so crazy.. very complicated.. glad you got it done though..👍🏽😎

That's the idea to follow the natural suit of discs.. everything else is just extra...
Where do you get the drill sander attachment for the p500 sand paper
How much do you charge per light?
Thanks dude!
No problem anytime..💯😁
Wow! Are you outside under your big umbrella?
No luckily it was overhang... An apartment complex... Much better...😁
How many headlights you can finish with this clear coat ?
3-5 per can...
