As a little girl, I had a neighbor two houses down, he was from Mississippi. At night he would sit on his porch and rock his blues guitar. What a gift this man had!! Ever since then, I have been a blues fan big time.
I've been a blue Harp player for 55 years. "Where have I been" was what my generation Said when we discovered the blues. I also play other instruments.
I am Caucasian but all my life I have been told that I have "a black soul". My love of the Blues must help to prove that. If I ever get to a Juke Joint I guess I will never leave. Love the blues !!!❤❤
Muddy has always been my favorite Bluesman. He was The Best & he will never go out of style. And ole dude is playing the hell outta that French harp. 💙💙✌️

Love Muddy Waters! My favorite piano player, Pinetop Perkins, played for Muddy for years! I met Pinetop in person in Memphis at Strange Cargo, a record shop where he was promoting his latest CD. He signed it for me. He was a very sweet natured down to earth gentleman! I love his music .love to hear him sing! He could boogie with the best or them!

This is an example of some of the very best blues that has ever been played! Bob Margolin has often caused me some curiosity and lots of interest!...............his ability is without question very very good. Many of his solos are awe-inspiring, and created in an original and unique way. I'm sure that he had a good idea of what it meant to be a part of the Muddy Waters band. He looks rather smug, and I reckon that he was rather chuffed as well. I am still in love with Muddy's slide guitar - "vicious" and "mean".
Bob Margolin always seemed more ego than talent. He's OK, but no Anson Funderburgh or Ronnie Earl. Margolin certainly milked his time with Muddy for the next forty years playing on his own.
The greatest blues concert I've ever been to was in Albany, NY in around 1972. It featured Buddy Guy and Junior Wells opening for Muddy, Pinetop, and the gang. The concert ended with a blues jam of historic proportion.
