      You really ought to do some vids on English pool too. The cueball reacts differently since it's smaller and lighter. There's enough on American pool already. Ever watch any IPA tour vids?

    This video shows that not only is it important to be able to make the shots, but equally important is the ability to control that cueball after making the shot to position it for the next shot. Anybody who follows the methods in this video and practices them will be a much better pool player in a short period of time. Thank you once again Sharivari! All of your videos are awesome!

    • @Sharivari
      @Sharivari  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Positional play is almost equally important as shotmaking. If you make the balls and don't have an easy shot next, it's worthless and vice versa. You're very welcome John!

      @stevekocinski383 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes. I’m a beginner but remembering all the different areas when striking the cue and it’s reaction is very difficult. I’m thinking this comes only with practice?

    • @stevekocinski383
      @stevekocinski383 ปีที่แล้ว

      I fully understand setting up for the next shot, but being a beginner I’m really concentrating on just sinking a ball. I understand and ur point is well taken about setting up for the next shot. I think I really need to learn cue ball control and the next shot will come. Am I headed in the right direction?

    Your vids are excellent. They help appreciate how to play better on our new pool table. The new table was a pact made with my wife in 1987, when we had to sell our Brunswick pool table, because of moving costs (then over $1200. for moving & reassembly). 2020 finally came for the realization of that pact being kept. Keep up the knowledge base for home players, to continue to improve. Thanks.

    Have a decal on my cue called the Cue Ball Tracker that shows the 30 and 90 degree lines. Shots using center ball or below usually come off the object ball at 90 degrees but was having issues with shooting above center with the cue ball not going on the 30 degree line all the time. After seeing the cue ball paths at the different speeds you used when going above center on the video, now i get it! Great video!

    Congrats to Lori Acton. Not sure why this video has 5 dislikes so far but I guess there are always going to be negative people.
    Brilliant video! One part of this video has already helped me realize a problem I had. It was on follow and hitting the ball harder. I have always done that but never ever was able to hit the rail where I wanted. This physics part of this is counter intuitive but is accurate. This will for sure help my game.

    Thanks for another great video.
    I'm amazed by how much difference there is between US pool and UK pool/snooker because of the ball size.
    With the smaller UK balls you really have to go extreme on the screw or top to get anything like these effects and the same goes for running or check side (outside or inside English,as you'd say).
    I guess it's due to the extra weight of the balls giving more grip on the cloth and cushions and greater angular momentum.

    Great video!! I’m a strong B player and I am still getting a lot of great info to improve my game. Thank you for keeping it simple and easy when so many people don’t. I will use this to show the weaker players on my teams an easier way to play. Thanks again
