    Great explanation Sir. I think that BMW hit the nail on the head with their version of the TFT. I have a Triumph Trophy love the bike but the electronics controls for this type of stuff is a joke. It took me three Bluetooth headsets to find one that was compatible. It would be nice to see this screen on the R1200RT I might consider changing bikes if they do!!! Great video Sir very in depth.

    The lengths you’re going to thoughtfully review this bike is unbelievable! Wish other reviewers would follow your style. Seeing gravel footage, how does the 750gs handle off road with its lower suspension and 19inch front wheel (compared to the 850gs)? Is it worth upgrading to 850 for 80-20 or 70-30 riding?

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you so much, Adrian! Much appreciated! I pour both heart and soul into the videos, and it’s really great to hear someone like them :-)
      The 750 eats gravel roads and light off-roading for breakfast. With knobby tyres, it’s a beast. Keep in mind that it’s on cast wheels, though, not spoked, so some care is required so you don’t crack them. The 850 will do it better any day, but the 750 will do roads many times better than the 850 any day. If you’re doing 80 or 70 roads, and those 20-30 are gravel roads or light off-roading, then the 750 will do it for you, and those 70-80 road will be a whole lot more fun with the 750! But if those 20-30 off-roading that you do is made of large rocks, fallen trees and forest floors, you might need the 850 to traverse it without suffering. But, if it’s light off-roading, then the 750 will most likely be a better choice for all the fun it’ll be on regular roads :-)

    Hi man, thanks for video. I just bought mine yesterday together with cradle but faced with issue on connection hub. Service guys were successful to establish the pairin my phone to bike and then connecting hub was successfully paired too. But we stucked on the tutorial part on 3. which says that screen will transfer from your tft to phone screen and shows that press and hold the menu rock on pure tft screen. Whatever we do didn't worked and kept failing then just left the service. I still have the issue. Your help will be much appreciated 🙏

    Another excellent video! Quick question: Would you recommend having a disc lock on top of the alarm that comes with the bike?

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Salazar! Thanks! And that is a good question. Where I live I don’t feel like I need a lock at all, so I guess that really depends on where you live and ride. But you’ll definitely be more safe with one than without. The alarm works and causes a lot of noise. If it’s parked outside a hotel when you’re out adventuring, and it goes off, you will most likely wake up. If you don’t, someone else surely will! It’s loud! If you park in a city and go explore, then a disc lock is not a bad thing.

    Good review but this like all the videos I have viewed on using the TFT does not say how to increase volume of music playing via iphone. Manual says turn wheel but doesn't work.

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey, John! Good question. In my experience, turn volume up and down on the phone first, to get a good base volume. I ride with Scala PackTalk Bold JBL, and it has a wheel on the com unit for volume that I use to bump it up and down during ride. Never used the bike to turn the volume up or down. Hope that helps!

    very nice. thanks. Question: My wife has a 2019 F750 with TFT and cannot figure out how to 'zero' or reset the trip meter to 0. the dealer said to just hold the menu button in the up position for a few seconds, but that does not do it. She has read the manual, etc. to no avail. thoughts?

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hey! Yes, go to first screen (default screen), now press the “down” button and you’ll get to the “trip computer” screen. It shows battery level, oil temperature etc. That’s where you hold the button in. You can from there also navigate to the right to get to trip meter 2 and reset that one. Hope that helps!

    It´s prpb nice for people to use their phone listening to music. But, keep an eye on battery drainage. So I´m more into using a USB-stick with gigaloads of mp3. Is this bike configured with an USB-port? Like the RT I had.

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, Geir! It is not, unfortunately. I know of some people who stuck a Bluetooth MP3 player under the seat, drawing power straight from the battery.

      Hey! Warranties require us to do the service at our dealer, so we don’t do it ourselves for these bikes. If we do an in-between-service oil change, I’ll try and remember to turn on the camera! :-)

    Hola, me acabo de comprar una F 750 gs, que tal va? La aerodinamica con la cupula tan pequeña es buena? Yo me he pedido la cupula de la F850 gs, queria saber si en carretera es comoda y no te pega mucho el aire.
    Muy chula tu moto, la mia es del mismo color tambien

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hola, Julio! Congratulations on your new F750GS! The aerodynamics of the small windscreen is okay. It distributes the wind across your body, so you don't get too bad turbulence, but you are exposed. It is a naked bike, after all. A taller windscreen might just concentrate the wind on your helmet, depending on how tall the screen is, and how tall you are. The stock F850GS windscreen is indeed available for the F750GS as well, though I haven't tried it.
      Hola, Julio! Felicitaciones por su nuevo F750GS! La aerodinámica del parabrisas pequeño está bien. Distribuye el viento a través de tu cuerpo, para que no tengas demasiada turbulencia, pero estás expuesto. Es una bicicleta desnuda después de todo. Un parabrisas más alto podría concentrar el viento en su casco, dependiendo de la altura de la pantalla y de su altura. El parabrisas F850GS de serie también está disponible para el F750GS, aunque no lo he probado. (No hablo español :-) Google Translate)

      Motorcycle Tourists I guess you do not speak Spanish jeje, I'm 1.83 I think that with the dome of the f850gs I'll take off more air and be more comfortable than the series, I come from a yamaha mt07 and the air was unbearable, that's if the yamaha mt07 had an impressive acceleration, the bmw I do not think it has so much acceleration but it will be more comfortable I guess, I get it in 3 weeks that I win I have already

I only have the pause playback button and the Repeat On/Off. Also the album arts didn't display. WHY? Right now I'm a littlebit disappointed because i've been riding 10.000Km with my bike and I haven't got all this stuff... wtf? Thanks in advance for your response.

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello, Eloi! I use an iPhone and mostly Spotify. Not sure how other phones or apps play with the TFT. What phone are you using and what app to play music? Could be that your app isn’t pushing album art (could even be a setting in the app?) That you don’t have all the skip, back and such sounds like the app isn’t making those options available to the TFT. If the app supports it, I think it will work. No expert on that though....

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hello! It’s enough just with the smartphone to get visual instructions on the display, yes. But you need a Bluetooth helmet or headset to also get audio instructions like “In 200 meters turn right”.

    • @pilatesbruxelles5258
      @pilatesbruxelles5258 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ok, thanks. That sounds strange, as the navigation comes from the phone, not the helmet.

    • @MotorcycleTourists
      @MotorcycleTourists  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello! As I said, no you don’t need a Bluetooth helmet. Only for the sound. The sound has to somehow reach your ears, and that’s what you need a headset for :-) You can do just fine without though. The first few days I navigated without sound since I hadn’t paired my helmet yet, and it works.
