The control valve has three ports. Each of these ports has a smaller plug inside the main plug. Do not try and remove the smaller plug as they tend to strip out. The plug closes to the forward and reverse solenoids is the Forward test port. The reverse Test port is the port immediately to the left of that and the main pump pressure port is directly above the reverse port. To do the test for inching you need only plug into the forward or reverse port and then watch your gauge response when depressing the inching pedal.

Connect the gauge to the FWD or REV ports to check the clutch pack pressure while working the inching pedal.
