I got a Talon 3 2022 27.5 Small", so I can answer some of these. Hopefully it's still relevant! 1: It accelerates pretty well, and the lower gearing helps with that, but that also means you won't be as fast as a road bike when going downhill. Fine with me since I consider coasting downhill my reward for the effort of going uphill! I usually do 2 hour/40km road rides on weekends. An hour in, my hands started getting a little sore. I changed to a butterfly bar and started wearing gloves for comfort. Get 27.5" for more control/faster acceleration, or get the 29" for better pedalling efficiency and speed. Also, changing to a road/hybrid tire like the Continental Urban or Maxxis Detonator will help with lower rolling resistance. I've also been deliberating getting a rigid fork for slightly better aero and lighter weight. 3: I weighed it at 15.1kg, but that was with me carrying the bike and standing on a bathroom scale so it might be inaccurate. 4. Yes, but I'd suggest getting more comfortable bars and/or ergonomic grips. If Giant Escape or Giant Fastroad (their hybrid bikes) are available, they will be loads better for non-MTB riding. For some light trail riding or going through rough roads, the spring-lockable Giant Roam will be your best bet.

hi, i would go with the marlin if you don't plan on doing any upgrades! HOWEVER if you want to upgrade the bike I would save the money and go with the giant cause the frames are very similar. thanks for the comment and hope this helps!!!
Hi I am 6’1” and the xl I like a lot. The bike store recommended the large but I wanted a big bike so you could go either way! More of a preference thing but I like the xl better.
They are very very similar, and have most of the same parts, the giant Talon 4 is cheaper so that’s what I would go for especially if you plan on upgrading some things yourself

The pro trail riders tend to use size medium frames so they can chuck it around on the trails. An extra large frame is huge that top bar is soo high its positioned as a hybrid bike top bar would be. You would have to use this bike purely as a commuter only. It would be dangerous going on the trails with this size bike.
@@onesimplecuban I am 6’2” and have an 18” Giant with 27 inch tires. It is so light and so maneuverable, that these big bikes make me not want one. I like smaller frame, more narrow bars in hard tail. Perfect way to ride.
I would have to say the marlin 7… I have a friend who has that bike and overall the parts are just better on it… But for the price that Talon four is awesome
@@monugautam9109 I can’t really give you a 100 percent accurate answer because the marlin that I have ridden is a different size bike but from what I have seen they are almost identical.

hi, so the talon 3 and 4 are very similar due to the fact that they have the same exact frame, but the difference between the two it the talon 3 has better parts, like the derailleurs and a few other minor upgrades that the talon 4 doesn't have but with that being said. the talon 3 is also more money so if you plan on doing custom upgrades your self i would go with the 4 but if not than the 3 would be better. and one more thing if you plan on just riding recreationally than the talon 4 would be better in my opinion. thanks for watching!

The talon 2 is just that much better. If u have the extra $130 money, the upgrade to the 2 is worth it.
