Thanks to a previous very incomplete video by someone else it went wide-screen on start. Edit: My twilight menu is updated, but under misc Aspect ratio is not anywhere to be found. Not above language. Any ideas? Wide-screen does not bother me, but I would like to know why mine is different.
Great video! Small question, is there a way to make it so that unsupported games go into the 4:3 resolution instead of 16:9 stretched without having to change the Twilight Menu ++ settings before booting a game?
This works great, awesome video and explanation! However... Aspect Ratio does not come up as an option anywhere in the menu, unable to swap back to "16:9". Have you ever heard of this being an issue before?

Nothing wrong with stretched screen eh? Wrong. It's hellishly crappy! 1. Everyone is fatter and ball shapes are oval. WTF kinda world is that? How do you roll an oval ball? 2. It adds pixels horizontally, pixels which never existed in the game and they mess up the cleanliness of the graphics. 3. Character movement looks faster going left/right vs up/down which will mess up your timings, so gameplay ruined as well!
@@StikoNiko The person that made the comment originally doesn't have issues with their 3ds, they're simply stating that they don't see the reason for widescreen. What they don't know is that widescreen patches exist for many 3d titles as well as some 2D ones with some gpu scaling that helps smooth the distortion and keeps the games looking how they should on a 3ds. Theres also the option of disabling widescreen really easily to enjoy games at 4:3 if there is no widescreen alternative. Honestly it's a pretty great mod and really nice overall if you know how to work through things.

Went through all this for a blurry mess, compared it side by side with an actual ds and it looks shit in comparison, just use the original hardware, such a shame. But thanks for the tutorial, couldn't get it to work on my own.

You can try press y on the game, see if there is option to turn off the widescreen there. Sry I am still working and didnt bring my 3ds

Yea you can change on twmenu setting but sometimes it wont work

Twmenu on Ds won't have any lag, you can try reformat and reinstall sd card if you have Ds. Please don't format if what you meant is 3ds/2ds
