I just realized how alone Eliza must have felt. There's literally no one singing with her, she's alone in this. When just about every other song in the musical has a chorus at least it's shockingly affective.

Actually, it's the opposite (for anyone who doesn't know). Even now, there are still letters that Hamilton wrote to Eliza but no letters of Eliza writing to Hamilton. Hence, "let future historians wonder how Eliza reacted when you broke her heart".

I synced this up with the original and holy shit your voice and hers go wonderfully together. It blends perfectly together for the first part of the song and eventually drifts into different timing and it comes into the same note in the end and it melds into a completely different feeling than listening to them both separately. I sadly relate to this song. When my ex and I where first together, we thought we were made for eachother. But as we got closer I saw her eyes wander and stare at other women. The way she talked about them made me feel small and insignificant. She wrote several fanfictions and the way she described the women was the same way she talked about me when we first met. Because of this we drifted apart and just watched our relationship burn. I had still saved every text and poem she wrote for me, hoping things would get better but they never did. So in the end I just deleted them and didn’t look back.
