I have dormers leaks. Roof is barely 4 years old and they're trying ( original roofing company ) to tell me it's the siding issue because I don't have paper behind it. Now I have to pay another roofer to pull all sidings off and inspect and correct issue(s)
I hear all of the excuses that my customers tell me, that they hear from their contractors/ builders. No one ever wants to do a job twice. Or pay for it 3 times. Siding can leak, but to claim that house wrap (or lack of it) is the cause of a leak is nonsense. My bet, it's a roofing issue. Go to your local lumber yard and ask if they know of a repair man. I get my best praise and referrals from them. They should know of at least 1 guy they trust to do almost anything.
@@highqualityhomemaintenance7565 I had another roofing company do the repair, in fact ,it was a flashing problem where the step flashing meets the aluminum flashing on bottom. There was a small opening.
This is exactly what is happening to me. How did new company find leak? Did they do water test or did they have to pull off siding? I have hardieboard siding, so it will be a big deal. Thank you, for any help...
Another awesome video. I think it's given me enough confidence to add some flashing!!

I'm glad you found a local professional to assist in your repair. They are getting harder to find.

"This is great aluminum foil"
Fire up the BBQ!
That flashing is a one time use flashing. I've pulled out 100 year old flashing that was tougher than this.

I'm glad this helps. I think I was a bit too talkative in this video... but I'm working on it. Lol
