How Farmers Produce Millions of Asparagus and Harvesting - Asparagus Farming Technology

- Asparagus is one of the first plants that greets us in springtime! It’s a perennial, which means that once it gets established, the tender spears will return year after year.
Asparagus can be grown in most temperate regions, but grows more robustly in cooler areas with long winters. The edible part of the asparagus plant is the young stem shoot, which emerges as soil temperatures rise above 50°F (10°C) in spring.

So many people working to provide us food. Much appreciation to them all
"Much appreciation to them all"?? wtf man u pay for this food like for everything in this world xd
Wow, so much labour involved! Thank you, farmers, for your hard working.
Dutch asparagus is a staple in my grocery store. I'll be looking at it different now that I know how it's grown and delivered to me.
My favorite asparagus, actually one of my favorites,... hello guyz 👋❤️ Happy Valentine's❤️❤️❤️
Jako zahtjevna namirnica..fina i skupa.❤
amazing workers and farmers there ... your hardworking is a bless 👍👍👍👍
My mom loves asparagus stir fried with big prawns
Fascinating! When I first moved to The Netherlands, I had never tried to cook white asparagus before. I prepared a nice amount of it and served it to my guests...they were polite and said nothing. My Dutch husband was the one to tell me that it must be peeled first! Hello from Enkhuizen!
Very hard work ♥ Respect😍
Education is a powerful tool in empowering the next generation to understand and appreciate the complexities of agriculture farming
Yes you are so right , and with the cost of labor , more machines will be used .
I like noal farm videos on TH-cam from the imperial county California 👍👍🖐️🇺🇲🇺🇲
I've waited for the canned asparagus. But it's always been interesting watching your videos
Masyaa Allah. Terima kasih.

I did not realize that asparagus is such a labor-intensive job. There must be a lot of doctors specializing in carpal tunnel surgery there.
I am Vietnamese, my husband and I always watch the whole videos, and we love your videos so much, hope you and team can make more interesting video ❤️
Wow wonderful ❤ they planned asparagus this way thank you for sharing
I like it how the green asparagus line workers are all wearing green shirts/tops. Awesome!
Amazing and wonderful! Still, back-breaking hard work.
Bravo feeding folks!

I have been following your channel for a few months and have learned a lot and enjoy it very much. I never knew the process of growing and harvesting asparagus and I have enjoyed it all of my life and I’m 68 years old ! Thank you
High technology and I hope that in my country agriculture can progress ..... success for "Noal ....." Pekalongan, Central Java, Indonesia are here

Its wonderful things to know bout the whole process of asparagus farming. Tq
Your Videos are informative, I grow a lot of my own food including asparagus but to see production at scale is fascinating. I do enjoy your videos, no annoying talking just visual information presented in a timely manner. Thanks!
I used to grow purple Asparagus in my garden in South Carolina USA. I spent a ton of money making sure the soil was on par. I miss that garden.
Well done . Informative 👍👍👍. Thank you for sharing. Be safe🇨🇦
The belts in the factory seem to run exceedingly fast for those workers. I bet the workers are tired when their day shift ends.
Learned a great about asparagus. Thank you
Why is the forklift driver not wearing a helmet?)))))
Memang teknologi yang oke punya. Semoga Indonesia bisa seperti itu
WOW , says Kallstrom Sweet Corn !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Here in Eastern Wa. U.S.A. we pick wild Asparagus along the ditch banks that have been growing for nearly 60 years
Sure makes you wonder how they make a profit in the end. With all those expenses in just the farming portion of their business, they must be extremely good at running the accounting portion. I'm also sceptical about the modern equipment being more cost effective than the manual laborers. Machinery like that tends to cost a fortune and breaks down alot. The harvesting laborers would be my pick if it was my business. Great video. Thanks.
i like asparagus but a little bit expensive here in my country! Thank you for the video!

I don't know asparagus is a root plant before. Well, I never look out for it anyway.
And the factory still use plenty of workers. That's a plus good thing.
Thank you for subscribing. That's right. a lot of things about agriculture that I also saw for the first time.
Very hands on work.
Loved to learn about the aspergillus
I love your videos! I've learned so much from them, thank you!
Thank you for yet another informative video
Absolutely love green asparagus. I was bought up on it many years ago. Not too sure of the white asparagus as I have never eaten or seen it here in New Zealand.
Always looking forward to Asparagus season. We love both green and white, but we buy them from a biofarmer in the region. Those are the ones that taste the best.
This is the first time in my 51 years on this planet that I'm seeing white asparagus. I'll stick with the green.
Where have you been hidding?
Very awesome I enjoyed a lot❤
Really nice video I love this channel ❤ I am watching every video from 🇮🇳
I agree with the last comment. Sadly I think many of those jobs will be economically replaced by machines.

I love Fresh green asparagus! Gonna have to try white, even though it did not photosynthesis. Great video!
Your videos are EXCELLENT! What is done with the trimmings. I would think they could be pressed for vegetable juice or used as cattle feed. Any comment on that? Thank you.

Awesome video thanks for sharing !!
Great video. Amazing how much work goes into the process.
Ive watched almost all your videos pertaining to priducing. And this interests me too.
My grandparents lived through the depression. They grew asparagus but would barely eat it. They considered it the kind of thing you eat when all else is gone. Funny how things change. Lobster used to be unpopular too.
I live in Galicia, north of Spain. Here, when my parents had my actual age, all kind of seafood and octopus was a poor's people food. Now is considered a luxury.

Great n appreciated work
Here in the imperial county they grow a lot of asparagus.
I actually bought asparagus roots for my small garden. Now I know how they are ”made”! Hoping I get to try my first own (green!) asparagus this spring, I can only harvest a few the first year. But actually my grandmoder had a aspararagus plant/flower/perennal in her garden and we never know We could actually eat the sprouts. Greetings from Finland
There are many types of ornamental asparagus, but I know of only two here in USA: (1) Asparagus Setaceus and (2) Asparagus Springeri. They are both very pretty plants, and I would think they should be edible. God bless Finland! And thank you for the wonderful music of Jan Sibelius!
